I went by this bakery to order a Haitian Cake that I needed for this weekend. The owner took my number down and informed me that he would call me by the end of the day with the price of the cake and the person who makes the cakes information. That was last week Friday and Iām still waiting for a call.Iām really upset about the way he conducted business because if he was not able to handed the order he should have just declined. This way I would have had enough time to search for another reliable Haitian Bakery. The fact that I was waiting for his call delayed me from buying my sister in law birthday cake. Thank god Publix knows how to make cakes. This bakery also sales dry cake slices, hard as a rock. I would not EVER recommend this bakery to anyone. One star is too much.
Reply to owner response: If that was the case that your bakery does not make cakes the person at the register should have not taking my number and called a person on the phone asking them if they can make a cake by Friday? The person on the line asked the cashier ( a male ) ask me to write my name and number on a yellow post note. And yes, it was your bakery I did not get your bakery confused. also on the counter there's a cake tray that your bakery sale cake slices for $ 3.00. So , do I still have the wrong bakery? The point is why ask for your name and phone number for a follow up with price of the Haitian Cake when you have no intent on calling back? Instead of being upset with the review talk to your staff about giving wrong information, that's the right thing to do. I'm the one that was told that your bakery can fulfill my request by your employee and have the right...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSpent close to $200 in this establishment; traveling from Albany NY. I stopped by to get treats for my family. I requested a separate transaction from my mother. The woman serving me was pleasant and patient despite the growing line behind me; cool as a cucumber. The man serving my mother on the hand, was not. He looked so frustrated to the point where I had to come over and assist my mother; a senior citizen. I could see him sweating bullets, getting anxious at the growing line and rushing her. I could sense he was overwhelmed. As a paying customer, this is unacceptable energy. I event left him a tip to demonstrate support for the business.
The verdict: *All the assorted tablets were good. *Pates were average, Morue (salt fish) pate was rancid. I do not recommend. It was not fresh. We had to discard them, very disappointed I spent money on this. *Kremas was terrible. It wouldnāt poor out the bottle and tasted stale! I shouldāve known, even the color was off; it was brown. Another disappointing purchase.
I will not be back. I guest I was too excited to get Haitian treats. Next time, I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible service. Drove out my way to reach them.. Finally made it, greeted rudely by not being greeted at all in an empty store front. Worker was watching TV and on the phone. Finally ordered only to be told that they didn't except card payments despite having method of card payments logos on their door. I asked about an ATM near... she seemed annoyed... I suggested they remove the card logo stickers from their door if they are not going to accept these methods of payment... not sure if I will give them another chance.. Bad customer service and a negative atmosphere is the worst! Update: the place next door had an ATM but turned out to not be worth all the hassle. Ordered patties and they are def not fresh and wayyyy more bread than fish. So disappointed. I really wanted it to work out. Will not return or recommend. I rather drive to Miami for better...
