I don't know why the Chinese culture thinks they don't make mistakes. (It's ok, we all are human and make mistakes, no not one is perfect, but God) I've been going to Rice Bowl for years and when I do, I order the same thing every time. I placed an order last week and the food was NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! After about three forks of rice, my taste buds and stomach said, no ma'am. I called the restaurant and explained the issue to the owner, (that knows me from patronizing her business.) I went on to ask, do you think you can just credit me? Why did I say that?! You would've thought I asked her for a million dollars. She said very adruptly, "Oh no, we don't do that, you're the only one that has complained today." (What about keeping your customers pleased and wanting them to come back ma'am?) She could care less. When I tell you she was RUDE...I couldn't believe it. First of all, the restaurant resides in a black community, where many, if not most, helps keeps the business running..therefore, you'd think she'd have a little more respect! However, she does not have to EVER worry about me stepping foot back in her restaurant, spending ANY of my dollars. Word of mouth is everything. Read moreI regrettably came here for a second time a few months ago because I was back home visiting the folks and I was really craving this type of food, and it was the closest spot... The first time they were up-charging like crazy for things that should be standard, at least when asked, such as having vegetables in your rice, or a soup instead of a soda. And even worse, it was all done clandestinely... Worst part though was the second time. I had ordered the bourbon chicken again and I could immediately tell this time that the meat was at least a day or two over before they cooked it... Up-selling and then selling us rancid food. This place, as you could unfortunately expect, cares very little about the people in the community that they serve in... It's basically a dirty hole in the wall that looks like it'll be closed down in like a year or two anyways. Good...
Read moreI SPECIFICALLY ordered SHRIMP fried rice and they ended up giving me SPECIAL fried rice with MEAT that I specifically did not want. I am pescatarian and pregnant and they did not accommodate me after I called and told them they messed up. My boyfriend had to end up eating my food because I couldn’t. I asked for a refund or my order FOR FREE since they messed up and she literally told me no and to order my OWN MEAL and pay for it because I didn’t have the food to bring back since my boyfriend ate it so we didn’t have a waste of money.
