I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My dad and his wife went to eat here and had an absolutely awful experience. Here is her story of they terrible experience.
SCATHING LETTER TO BRAVO CAFE' Last night, my sweet husband, who loved your restaurant,
(why I do not know.... the food is bland. I have had large amounts of egg shell in my Eggs Benedict, I found a piece of a plastic zip tie in my sandwich, you put food so hot in front of my child she burned herself, you served my husband a salad that was floating in water, for ages I would not even go to your restaurant because your salads tasted like mildew)
...wanted to go to your restaurant. He loves your spaghetti and meatballs. He just had a stroke... he has a lot on his mind right now and so do I... But instead of giving him something he could enjoy, you put a plate of RAW meatballs in front of him. They were so raw in fact that the meatballs were still wet and pliable and RED. Your cook called my husband a liar. The server would not let my husband speak to her about it. She cut him off three different times and then threw dirty dishes in the bussing tub... she gave us our dessert to go even though we'd planned to stay and have coffee.. He was so upset I had to send him to the car. He was humiliated. The lady at the front register, asked if everything was okay.. I did not answer. She asked again only this time she was RUDE AND NOT EVEN LOOKING AT ME!!! I answered her but guess what... SHE did not care either and cut me off and told me to "HAVE A GOOD EVENING NOW" as sarcastically as she could..... (Still not looking at me) They have never offered to discount our meals for poor service or for poor quality or even this... There is never anyone there to talk to about it... I tried.. they never called... SO HERE IT IS...
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO BRAVO CAFE IN OSCEOLA!!!! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL... We were, at one time loyal customers but they don't care about that either.... BOYCOTT this...
Read moreBravo Cafe is the type of place I enjoy going to because it is a traditional sit down family restaurant that offers daily specials and other home style cooking. After my third visit yesterday, I doubt I will return. Bravo was always the selection of the other diners in my party and I kept going, hoping it would get better, thinking that perhaps my prior visits were just "off" days, sadly I don't think this is the case. Simply put the food is average at best.
The service was slow even though there were just a few tables filled in the restaurant. It took twenty minutes for our server to take our order. I ordered the dinner special, which was cabbage rolls over mashed potatos. One of my favorite dishes. It was awful. The center was cold and the meat has hard and mealy, and the overall taste was unpleasant. It was served with what appeared to be canned or frozen mixed vegetables. The corn, lima beans, and peas (or green beans) were visually unappealing. I didn't touch it. In all fairness to Bravo Cafe, they did not know I was dissatisfied. I did not send my plate back for a few reasons: 1) Our server did not check on us until near the end of the meal. 2) My friend had to send his steak back when the server finally checked on us, and I didn't want to complain too. 3) I was taught to fear sending things back to the kitchen, I don't like to do it, so if I am unhappy with a meal, I never return.
On the plus side, I can say that the server was friendly, when she was around. The owner was pleasant, came over and talked to my friend and resolved his issue. He was given an upgraded steak order and he said it was very good. I took some slices of cake and pie home to share with family. The cake was a bit dry, but the pies were excellent.
I really wish my experience there was better. I would actually rate this restaurant a 2.5 based on my experience of three visits in the...
Read moreWaitress will very friendly and I told her the last time ( 2 years ) I came there the all you could eat fish was sushi and I didn't eat it, but I wanted to try the smaller portion (4) pieces. I explained after I cut it open it was not done and the wife also noticed on another piece the the fish under the breading was creamy. I showed the waitress and she asked if they could make 2 more pieces and have them done, done, done. Returning to the table with 2 darker breaded pieces, and these had a fishy odor that smelled like they had been left out overnight in the trash. We got our bill and I noticed I was charged for the all you can eat! I don't mind paying when the meal is good, but yes, one dollar difference is a lot when the meal was sub par. The manager (?) said that I got 6 pieces of fish that I was taking home, and I said to feed the cats ( picture on facebook). I said you keep the fish, and charge me correctly. He brought over another container upon my request to put wife's food in so he could keep the 2 pieces I first saw that were done incorrectly ( sushi), 2 pieces that I didn't touch, and the double done 2 new pieces. He ended up charging me my correct price ( maybe not theres) and we left. This has been the second time I've had under cooked fish here...
