My friend and I wanted to get some ice-cream after spending a day shopping for various things, so I asked her if she was in the mood for Cold Stone, which she responded, "yeah"! So we got there and the parking lot was super dark and nothing appeared to be open, the only way I knew they were open was because I witnessed someone enter the front door.
After getting out of the car and going in, I noticed a staff member look up at the door when the bell rang and her eyes narrowed and she turned away shaking her head. Granted, we got there at 9:13, but they don't close until 10:00 on Sat, so I didn't understand the issue. Secondly, I wanted sorbet, not ice-cream, but when we got to the counter, I didn't see the flavor I usually get (and wanted) so my friend asked me the guy helping us if the flavors presented, were the only ones available? He didn't hear her through the mask she was wearing, so I took mine halfway off to repeat what she had said when the manager, who was helping someone else, stopped what she was doing to tell me to put my mask back on. Now, I understand the time we're living in, but I'd like to shed some light on why that offended me. One, she was watching me and my friend as she was helping someone else, because I wasn't even able to speak before she ran over to me. Two, the guy she was helping didn't have his mask on properly because it was down past his nose. The same thing happened with the guy who walked in behind my friend and me (he too didn't have his mask on properly either). And, finally, the employee that was helping us looked at the manager funny when she intervened as if to non-verbally communicate what she was doing was rude/unusual.
I'm not one for giving 1 star reviews, but I can't help but feel offended in some way. At the end I was so mad that I didn't even want anything, so I went without. My friend apologized to me for the ladies behavior, but I told her that it was ok, I probably won't be going back to that Cold Stone for a while. Too bad, because I love...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time visiting Cold Stone Creamery. Walked in door lobby full of customers. I needed a pre-made ice cream cake. I grabbed a cake from freezer. And then I got in line. Young lady asked if that's all I needed. I said yes. She told me that I didn't have to stand in that long line, and she could ring me out.
I asked if she could add HAPPY BIRTHDAY to it.. She said yes. The African American girl, rudely stated, "OH we don't have time for that today" I couldn't believe she said that.
I am purchasing a $30/40 ice cream cake and you can't write on it? Where did she get her customer service training from?I told the cashier do your best. I was finished speaking with the other server. She rudely interrupted again..I had to tell her I'm done talking with you, because your tone was off. She didn't feel that she did anything wrong? Really?
Where they do this at? I told the first server to do her best. If it's messy we will accept. I refused to allow the other server to assist after being told, "We DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT!"
Young lady completed the cake. I accepted and left. If it wasn't for it being my daughter's birthday, I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got there 30 min before close and they told me they were closed unless it was an online order. There were a line of guests, some liters just got there. I went outside and put an online order in for pick up. It said itād be ready in 15 min. Their last guests were leaving as I was walking up to the doors and they locked the doors on me. Tried calling just to ask if I could pick it up since I already paid. They looked at me and ignored me and didnāt answer. I emailed asking for a refund with no response. Then called two days later and they said they would have to call me back because their phone was dying and had to charge ( they had just answered and said that after saying why I called). Called two hours later and it rang forever and went to busy. Then it was busy from then on every time I calledā¦. Still havenāt gotten ice cream...
