King Gyros — Restaurant in Mishawaka

WOW! That is all I can say. I’ve been here several times and got burgers or the Greek style food and it was good but WOW their bbq chicken plate is amazing. The chicken falls right off the bone and the bbq sauce is so good. Definitely my new favorite. Edit- had to take a star away just by reading a ton of reviews and seeing how the owner responds to bad ones. A couple things I will say- 1, these are reviews, you shouldn’t expect all 5 star reviews and instead of jumping down someone’s back for writing a bad review, be more understanding and sound like you care in the least bit would be much more professional. I literally read this owner tell a customer that no one recognizes her picture so she must’ve went to another location.... um excuse me, what? You’re going to tell someone they didn’t go into your establishment because no one recognizes their picture on here? Lol okay! Very professional. When you own a business you have NO right to argue with a customer or bash them for their reviews. Take the review and learn from it. This turned a good place for me really sour based on the owners...

The first time I have ever had an issue, we LOVE this restaurant. Although I understand the closing time is 9 pm and we arrived at 8:40, the girl who ran register saw us pull in and turns off the open sign and pulled the runner carpet off the floor as we walked in the door. Not that big of a deal until she carried on a conversation with her child as we waited to order. When we ordered,. She said to go? We said is it too late to eat here? She replied. It takes 15 minutes to make and we close at 9. At that point it was pretty obvious she did not want us there so we cancelled our 30.00 order and left. Who wants to eat a slab of ribs in their car?? Which was our only choice since we were 90 miles from home. But, we have always stopped here in the past and never had an issue until today. I understand it is very difficult to find quality help but you for sure, missed the boat...

Nice eatery inside of Edison Park shopping area. Was not too so busy when I came to eat. I had the rib tips, barbecue of course. Jumbo shrimp. Both came with fries and coleslaw. I added a side of Greek salad, small. The tips were tasty and smothered in barbecue sauce, tangy. But they lacked a seasoned flavor. The jumbo shrimp were very good and a good value. Both meals had generous portions. I was unable to check the restroom, I'm sure it's clean because I can see the cleaning products behind the kitchen while standing at the register. It is seat yourself, the cashier was very very kind and helpful. Highly recommend this joint for a quick eat with family friends or that special day. Would have given it five stars but again the tips lacked a seasoned flavor. Special note, when ordering food to go be sure you get your own utensils and napkins. They are not included inside...
