I have been coming to this dairy queen since I was a kid. But it seems over the last year things have gone down hill rapidly. There's a 50/50 chance of getting your order correct. And if by some miracle you do get it correct you either get laughable small portions, ice cream that tastes more like cool whip then soft serve, stale cones, fried foods that taste like the oil hasn't been changed in a week or a mixture of all of the above. The service here is HORRID. Whenever I've had to deal with management they have been friendly and willing to fix the issue but the team members really need a lesson in hospitality. Most of them are just downright rude and unprofessional.
I visited this evening and my husband ordered a large twist cone with candy crunch. The kid didn't know what candy crunch was and when I tried to explain he brushed me off saying "we don't have that" (it's been on the menu for YEARS). Fine whatever. We sit down to wait and we wait 20 minutes for ice cream. Never have I ever waited that long for a cone, a sundae a mini mint chip blizzard and a vanilla sundae with sprinkles. After 15 minutes the kid finally comes over and says "the chocolate ice cream isn't working" no apology or anything so my husband had to settle for something he didn't even want just so we could get our kids home. And after all of that they gave my son the wrong sundae in a cone and my husband's ice cream was awful like the machine wasn't working correctly and the cone was stale. Id also like to add that a gentleman came in after us and ordered some dilly bars from the freezer and a small pup cup to go. For 1 pup cup it took them over 15 minutes. The time management it seems is also laughable. It will probably be a long time before my family visits again and it's sad because this use to be the spot to visit on hot summer evenings. To say I'm disappointed is an...
Read moreI honestly was not happy when I went there a couple days ago for dinner. I ordered in drive through got my order parked and realized part of my order was wrong I ordered a cheese burger and large fry not a chicken sandwhich and small fry so i go inside and im like hey my order is wrong and this is where it gets bad the cashier they had that night was so very rude me and all the other guest couldn't believe it. She looked at me was like what's up in a rude manner I tell her my food is wrong and still having an attitude holds her hand out and is like "k give it here" most restaurants apologize for getting it wrong and let you keep the food they gave you that was wrong. Nope not this time and as I was standing there waiting for 30 minutes for them to get my order fixed every person this lady encountered she'd roll her eyes at and have a major attitude with. After waiting 30 minutes she finally tells the cook that they got my order wrong and she needed a cheeseburger and large fry so I was waiting for 30 minutes all because she didn't tell anyone the order was wrong. I didn't receive a single apology and got treated as if their mistake was my fault. I've always thought this was a great dq I've gone there since I was a kid but after that experience I don't think I'll go back ever again. By the time I got back to my car my entire order that they did get right was...
Read moreI normally write fairly positive reviews of business, but this will be an exception. Over the past 3 to 4 years my wife and I occasionally eat here and the service speed is generally pretty bad, but the food does taste good. CONS: The Drive Thru always take 10 to 20 minutes. They charge for any sauces. They previously charged $0.28 / sauce, but I think now it is a lot higher like $0.48. (They only "give" you 1 free sauce with your order but any extras you have to pay for.)
PROS: They recent rebuilt the entire restaurant so it looks really nice If you go during a non-peak time you MIGHT get your order in less than 5 minutes. Food tastes good.
The owner of this DQ needs to get his priorities in order. If you can not maintain a decent profit margin without charging for sauces then you are doing something wrong and need to evaluate what went wrong. To have a successful business you need to have happy customers, not charge them for...
