Where to begin, even. First off, the restaurant is clean, and staffed by friendly, competent employees. My order was delivered promptly, and I have nothing bad to say about either the staff or the establishment.
Now, here's my issue. I walk in around 10, a full day of work ahead of me. Perfect opportunity for breakfast. I realize that I probably won't be able to get lunch later, so I should probably eat an early lunch now. Breakfast is off the table. I already know what I'm ordering. I step up to the sleepy eyed cashier and confidently say "Two BLT Crunchwrap Sliders, my good man". He seems momentarily confused. He turns and looks at the giant menu, then back at me. "We don't have the sliders anymore, sorry. We've got the quesalupa now. There's cheese in the shell!"
In that moment, my innocence was lost. I began to see the world for what it really was, a harsh, cruel, unforgiving place, where great taste and great value were casually tossed to the wind in favor of the latest fads. The crunchwrap slider had been a staple of my Taco Bell diet. $1 for a mini crunchwrap? There was no better value on the planet. I dare you to name a better deal.
At this point, I was ready to unleash a stream of curses that would make George Carlin blush. But I stopped. Am I not a man of reason and logic? If the crunchwrap slider had been replaced, then it stands to reason that it must have been replaced with something even better, as unlikely as that seemed. So I held back my fury and calmly ordered a quesalupa. It was hastily thrown together by a young tattooed youth and given to me. I brought it back to my table and decided to enter this experiment with an open mind and hope in my heart.
The first bite was ok. The second, ok. On the third, half the quesalupa fell unceremoniously onto the dirty tray that held the wrapper.
This is the conquering hero that vanquished the slider? This sloppy abomination? This mashed together Taco Bell tradition of smashing all six of their ingredients together in a new way and making up a word to call it was the reason I no longer could snack comfortably and in style with a slider. This is unacceptable, Taco Bell. I could eat a slider with one hand and count all the money I was saving with the other. The quesalupa is a horrific fail. It took me two hands and a plastic spoon to finish it, and cost three times as much. Who is making these decisions? Do we not live in America, where great taste and great value go hand in hand? Or did I wake up this morning in communist China? Bring back the crunchwrap slider Taco Bell, you greedy, theiving bastards. Who doesn't like the slider? Where are these people? Why would you replace a fan favorite with a greasy bucket of bullshit? I don't understand. It would be like going out to your new car that you'd just bought and gotten a great deal on, only to find that Taco Bell had replaced it with a rusty pair of roller blades. And not only that, but your car payment had just doubled. Welcome to the mind of Taco Bell, where up is down and left is right.
Bring back the slider, Taco Bell. And fire your research and development team.
Also, the bathroom in this place had a mirror in front of the toilet. It was disturbing to make eye contact with myself while...
Read moreWent to drive through and ordered a burrito supreme with no red sauce, a chicken chalupa supreme, and chicken Chipotle, ranch, and chicken burrito. It cost $11 and change. The lady who took our order was extremely rude. Upon leaving we found that we got a bean burrito instead of a burrito supreme, so we went back. The lady was again extremely rude when we explained what happened. After we got that replaced we left and I tried to eat my burrito supreme and noticed I was not tasting any meat and opened my burrito and found no meat. So I then tried to eat my Chalupa and the shell was too hard to eat and had 5 pieces of tomato, so I had to throw them away. I tried to call the store but got a fax. I will never return to that location and think maybe that lady in the drive through last night needs a stern talking to. Guests shouldn't be treated in such a way and the food should stand up to the quality they advertise all over television. I hope something comes of this or that location will probably close if it continues to serve such poor quality food with such crappie service. I tried to show her the burrito and she cut me off Really abruptly saying I can't bring that into the store. I said I am aware, I was trying to show you that it was a bean burrito so you know I'm being right with you. She then walked away while I was requesting taco sauce then shut the window on me. Then stood there for a few then opened the window and asked what kind of sauce? It was very upsetting and blatantly disrespectful. I was going to take pictures of my food but I was working, delivering food and had to get it out of the car. One thing I know for sure, I won't deliver food for that particular location. I will not accept a delivery from them for the simple fact that guests might get sick. The food tasted old and was inedible. No way to contact the store. I hope this helps others so they don't get sick...
Read moreSo Alicia is a liar, and on top of that this is the third time where I have come and she was working and they closed early. When I drove thru and asked why, she told me they ran out of food....I asked which food, and she replied all of it! Lol, really?!? Why lie?!? Then came up with an elaborate story on how it’s because of the one on McKinley Ave they had a rush. Then about 10 minutes later (still in regular hours when they should have been open, I called and asked if it’s true they closed early tonight, and she said yes, then I asked why again, and she came up with a completely different story!!!! She told me it’s because their computers were down, and proceeded to tell me another lie about how they are on a timer and randomly shut down, sometimes early, and when they do, they have to close because they cannot turn back on. Omg! Wow! Why lie?!? You close early because you are lazy and not doing your job! Whoever owns this location should look at their staff and realize employees who lie to customers and lose money for the business have no place working. I run a business and you can sure bet I would never lie to my customers, nor would I close early for selfish reasons. Again, this is the third time , and I mean in like a month. Stay away from this place is Alicia is working. And if Taiwan is truly the mgr there he should be...
