I have never had this bad of an experience at a breakfast restaurant ever. My buddy and I decided we'd try Macadoos for the first time! We went and grabbed a buzzer and the lady at the front had told us we were looking at a 15-25 minute wait I said alrighty no worries since its sunday and its expected to be a busy day. 45 minutes later after 4 couples after we got our buzzer got their tables I went in and asked how much longer we were looking at since a bunch of people after us had got a table. She said there's 2 seats at the bar I said at this point anything works. Sat down and ordered a coke which was very flat and watered down and asked if I could get a root beer instead since I wasn't going to drink the coke. She said oh yeah no worries and unfortunately the rootbeer was worse then the coke. Things happen and I understand that so I settled with a water. We finished our food (which was very good) and she left the check. I wasn't extremely happy at this point since I got charged for a drink that I didnt really drink but I can understand but also got charged for extra cheese which I did not order. My bill was $18.18 and I left $18.25 since I wasn't too thrilled at this point. I walk out and a lady comes out saying sir, sir wait one minute you forgot to pay all of your bill and I had told her that I paid it all. The waitress then came out and said I forgot to pay .18 cents and I had explained that I saw her put the quarter in her apron and $18 to the register and I could tell she wasn't very happy, but at the same time it was horrible service. She wanted to sit and argue about the 18 cents in front of 10 people standing outside and make a scene. I asked her if it was in her apron which she said no I never did that and got all defensive as I didnt leave a tip. I pulled out my wallet gave her a dollar and said no worries have a great day you won't have to worry about us ever coming back or either of our families that are regulars. There was a gentlemen sitting beside us at the bar area that seen me put the quarter on top of the 18 dollars and had said I saw that quarter as well. And when I left there were 3 people clapping in happiness as to what I did and 3 had turned away and walked back to their cars after seeing what the waitress did. I apologize but this is not the way to run a business and the waitress can say what she wants and try and prove she didnt do wrong but at the end of the day she was upset that she didnt get a tip and she wanted it one way or another. 0 out of 5 stars to this waitress not macadoos but we will not be...
Read moreI've heard multiple great things about this restaurant. I've seen pictures on Facebook and Yelp. My wife and I couldn't wait to try the food. When we arrived the place looks very small. We almost passed by the place. Hopes still high small places can have great food plus it's a hometown favorite. We enter and get seated right by the door while it's 40° outside. Still hopeful we order and get our food. The waitress was very nice, welcoming, and attentive. The food however was ice cold and bland. My wife has biscuits and gravy with side of hash browns. Homemade biscuits and gravy are what they're known for. Hash browns were cold and gravy was I've cold. It was like the gravy was made a week ago without seasoning and was scooped out of the refrigerator. I had the country skillet. My sausage was cold and whole plate covered in that flavorless gravy. We used salt, pepper, and Tabasco from the table and it didn't fix the food. Highly...
Read moreFirstly the parking is a joke. The parking area is full of giant potholes. Today we walked in and to the left is a cubby hole area with two tables in it. One two seater the other a six seater. We were sat at the six seat table, unfortunately next to the small table that had two guys at it with one guys cellphone blasting music from a concert he must have been to. It was rude. It was very noisy and they continued to play it til it was over. They had zero care that people were right next to them. No restaurant staff asked them to turn it down. Our waitress was friendly and kept the coffee filled. I ordered a farmers omelette w a side of hash browns. Beware, this place doesn't know what an omelette is. Instead it looked like a burnt frittata. The hash browns had that same burnt flavor. My toast was good, as was the hot chocolate. My husband loved the...
