My blood is boiling just thinking about my recent experience at Del Taco. It was an absolute disaster from start to finish, and I am beyond livid.
First off, they managed to screw up my order so badly that I wondered if they were playing some kind of sick joke on me. Instead of the chipotle chicken cheddar rollers I specifically ordered, I received ranch. Are you kidding me? How hard is it to get an order right?
But wait, it gets worse. When I dared to point out their monumental mistake, the audacity of the staff was infuriating. They had the nerve to argue with me, insisting that I was the one who got it wrong. Excuse me? Last time I checked, I didn't work at Del Taco, and I definitely know what I ordered. After what felt like an eternity of back-and-forth, they begrudgingly agreed to remake my order.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the employee tasked with remaking my food was straight-up hostile. They practically threw my replacement rollers together, all the while muttering under their breath about "difficult customers." Oh, I'm sorry for inconveniencing you by expecting to receive what I paid for!
And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, they had the nerve to lecture me about checking my food before I eat it. Seriously? How about you check your attitude before you interact with paying customers?
I have never been treated so poorly in my life, and I will never set foot in that Del Taco again. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else where they actually value...
Read moreOn New Year's Day 2019, my Husband went inside and bought a Large Diet Coke ($3 !!🤪💰) Before he filled the cup, he used the Restroom. When he came out of the restroom, he picked up the cup that he had left on the counter- then the Manager said to my Husband "you wanna pay for a refill?". My Husband told him that he hadn't gotten a drink yet and tried to use the fountain- it had been turned off- no ice or soda coming out. So my Husband asks for some ice and still the fountain will not come on. The Manager said again "Are you gonna pay for that refill?". FINALLY, the kid that sold him the drink said "He just paid for that- it's NOT a refill" and then the Manager hit the switch, turned on the fountain and said - "It's on NOW" and gave him a dirty look. I tried to go inside the same location one day a few weeks ago and the dining room was locked in the middle of the day-- they told me that their registers inside were down and that I had to go through the drive thru. I declined. Clearly they have issues with Customer Service at this location (Marguerite between Oso& La Paz) We love Del Taco but we won't be going to this...
Read moreHad a really unpleasant experience today with the manager Kimberly. Redeemed a coupon for free tacos in the app and she was noticeably upset because I "hadn't paid full price" for the food. I thought that was the point of promotional coupons? If you're a franchise owner who feels unable to honor coupons sent out by corporate then that's a problem you have to take up with them, don't take your frustration out on the customers. I asked if I could use a coupon in-store to buy a couple quesadillas (one coupon per transaction, right?) and her response was outright hostile. This awful customer service and refusal to accept coupons is petty and bad for business, not to mention their negligence with refusing to update their hours for years now (this location hasn't been 24 hours for a long time) have led me to decide I'll just eat elsewhere from now on. It's not like they're the only del taco in town. It's a shame because before the last couple years I only had great things to say about this location. Sad to say it has really...
