My family has ordered from Angelo’s many times. This last time was a bit frustrating. We pretty much order the same exact thing every time. So, my husband questioned the cost of the order this last time he picked it up because it was more than usual. Well, he discovered we were charged for our kids meal drinks — which we have never paid for before. He was told the menu had changed a long time ago. However, on the current menu attached to the Facebook page, it says the drinks are included with kids meals (which they usually are a most restaurants). This would have truly been no big deal if the person checking him out had not gotten kind of argumentative and somewhat condescending about it. There is a way to handle a customer service situation and the way she handled it was not acceptable. If your menu has changed, first of all, revise it online/Facebook. Secondly, just refund the stupid drinks and apologize for any confusion— stating that next time there will be a charge for the drinks. That’s an example of a simple solution for any business interested in keeping their customer. I’m really trying NOT to feel like they don’t care about my business. However, I have not and will not continue to refer any friends or family to this restaurant at this time. I’m questioning whether I will go back myself. ...
Read moreI don't ever think about leaving a review, but this place needs it! If you are hungry, please stop here and eat. You will thank me! Driving through the state, one of my kids wanted pizza for dinner. After searching for "pizza near me", we found Angelos. The name made me think it was going to be a bit pricey and too upscale for us. We were wrong! Then I realized it served Italian and BBQ, and I thought that it was in for a let down. Again, I was wrong. This is one of the few times in life I'm glad I was wrong.
The tomato gravy could be put on a piece of cardboard, and it would make the cardboard delicious. My picky ten year old had sauce dripping from her lips with each piece of food she dipped into it. My fifteen year old son couldn't finish his meatball sandwich because the portions were huge. And the homemade barbecue sauce made my troubles disappear for a while.
You can ask anyone that knows me, I have a particular palet. I am a lover of food, but it can just be good food, it has to be great. I am a cook and baker myself. I have been approached about opening a restaurant of my own more than a few times. I would consider it if Angelo's would franchise and come to my home town. I will make a seven hour trip again just for Angelo's.
Overall, just stop and eat there. You will be...
Read moreAfter being served the first time, our waiter had finished his shift and was switched with a new one. The two times we were served by our new waiter we had to wave her down ourself. Once for an order, which we had already waited 30 minutes to place and once to ask for refills, that we had already asked for when we placed our order during the first wave down. The pasta was not as good as previous times, the bbq nachos were delicious. The cook staff walked around the restaurant with drinks or sat at tables on their phone. The manager left us with the device to check out and stated she would get our reciept print off, only to leave and drink an energy drink and play on her phone 10 feet away. We had to wave her down for our print off receipts. Really use to love this place, but don't see...
