BSB Catering — Restaurant in Missoula

This place used to be super great like two years ago, and something changed. They used to have tasty, thoughtful, worldy specials. For the past several years my family has enjoyed the occasional brunch here and the menu just has gotten weirder and less thoughtful. The flavours for the usual stuff have been off too. I used to be impressed by the complexity of the meals but the past three or so times solidly, I've felt grossed out. I originally fell in love with the Filipino and Korean specials that would occasionally float in. But now? Even when my partner orders their standard biscuits and gravy, the quality has started to vary. One day the biscuits were kind of burnt and I think they put too much something bitter in the gravy today. It just was slightly bitter somehow. I don't know. Today my fries were SEVERELY over salted with the special too. They served an over easy egg on a bun in a basket. Why? That is so messy and it started drooling egg onto the table out of the basket after a bite! I'm really sad because I LOVED coming here and... something just changed. My goodness what a gem!!! We were driving thru and searched up “breakfast places” and this popped up. We got there and it wasn’t opened yet, but there was a LONG line. I mean long. So we figured, this must be good. So we get in line and we wait. We’re seated and everyone is friendly. The waitress was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. Every question we asked about an item she knew exactly what was in it, why it was named a certain name, and whether it was good or not. So we order, and the food tasted amazing!!! Really really good. Mind you, we just came from driving about 8 hrs thru the night so we were hungry and tired, but after eating the wonderful food, we were re-energized and ready to go. The “not so biscuit and gravy” was really good, the “veggie browns” were flavorful, and the “Huevos rancheros” dish was surprisingly delicious too!!! I ordered the “brunch burger” with maple bacon and topped with an egg was cooked perfectly. Everything we ordered that morning was on point. Well I have heard nothing but people rave about the food. So we arrived at 1125am stood in line for about 30 or 40 min. Ordered our food and then they ask for the tip upfront when you pay. Coffee and water bar are self serve it has now been an hour and a half since our arrival yet no food has hit the table. Interior is like every other reutilized old Missoula property lots. Of seating but everything is self service food has been coming out of the kitchen at snails pace. With having such a small menu you would think it would be executed in a timely manner. We are now an hour and forty five mins into our visit no food has been seen. The staff seems to be more interested in cleaning up at this point because they close at 2. The system seems broken servers wonder around looking for little number tents in order to deliver food.so now at hour 2 kid could not wait any longer I had to get a refund.
