So I have always had up and down service with dominoes, and pretty much every pizza corporation. This will always take place, as shitty employees flow through these places often obviously. But this recent trip satisfied me enough to write a review about it. I had a free 14" one-topping pizza coupon. So I called in and asked if they could do half cheese, and half with 2 toppings. To my surprise, they said it'd be no problem. 15 minutes later, I picked up the pizza, greeted with friendly enthusiasm, and was given my pizza. I asked for some parmesan cheese, which I didn't have my wallet and it apparently costs money now. The friendly employee said it was on them this time around and to enjoy my pizza. I was very please with that. I then got home, opened the pizza, and they did the one half with mushrooms and pepperoni, and I ordered sausage and pepperoni. Had it been any other ingredient, I would have just eaten and been fine. I'm not one to really waste my time calling places or going back when my order is wrong. But I hate mushrooms, and they are only 6 blocks away. To my surprise, when I called and explained the error, they said they'd pop the right order in right away, and asked if I wanted some wings or breadsticks or anything. I asked "for free?" She said absolutely, but I was just happy with the right pizza, until she brought up the lava cake. I ended up getting the pizza and lava cake, and they delivered for free on an originally carryout order. Pizza and cake were here in 15, the order correct. 2 pizza's, 2 lava cakes (it comes with 2), and fast, friendly service. They deserve this review and deserve to be recognized. I'll be ordering from here more often now, they...
Read moreSadly, I must leave a 1-star review. I ordered 35 pizzas for a VERY special event. I spoke with manager(s) twice in the weeks leading up to the event to make sure we were on the same page so that everything went smoothly. They promised it was not a problem and asked me to place the order online a week ahead of time.
I placed the order and paid, with pick up planned for 6pm, one week later. I sent someone to pick up our order 15 minutes early, at 5:45pm on the day I paid for. The representative at the counter looked at my pickup person with a blank face and then ran to get a manager. They had not even begun to make our pizzas, or do I believe they would have begun to make them had we not sent someone in for the pickup. They were already 20+ minutes late into preparing my order and it wasn't even on their radar. So, they dropped the other pizzas they were making and did our 35. The pizzas were finally finished and on location almost 30 minutes after they were supposed to be. Pizza Hut and Papa Johns were both ON TIME and had given us exactly what we paid for. Initially I had been planning on Domino's making 80 pizzas for us. I'm so glad I spread the order out over the competition. Domino's would have left my party of 175 people without anything to eat and left me with the embarrassment.
So, here I am, (after two in-store visits with managers and the online order placed 1 week in advance like they requested) and I am nothing but terribly disappointed in the service provided me. No manager has reached out to apologize or even try to make this right. They apparently don't need or want...
Read moreI got a bad batch of way too "tangy" red sauce and otherwise faulty order last week, after ordering on line. So when I saw the feedback spot I let them know that the food was inedible (even my little dogs wouldn't eat the specialty chicken that night) and lo and behold, I got a call yesterday from a 208 area code about that problem. The woman who called was very honest and humorous about my experience and admitted that one batch of sauce had been "bad" in that it was way too tangy. To be clear, it was't bad as in contaminated. So she put through an immediate order for a replacement for us. It was available within the hour and everything was covered, even the delivery fee. I got to order as many toppings as I wanted and we got an amazingly good pizza and chicken for "free!" I've always like Dominos and my boyfriend who works in food service for a corporation run chain, had suggested that I let them know because they would take responsibility. He was very right!! The replacement was prompt, perfect and very tasty! Thank you Dominos for coming through and caring about your customers. I don't like big corporations and never have, but I have to say that in this case it was more like dealing with real people over profit and all down the line the staff were professional, just and very sweet and friendly. For this one time, the corporation has overcome the inhumanity inherent in their structure. May that be a trend....
