Stayed at the Best Western "right next door". Ordered pizza online for delivery at 6:34 pm delivery time showed 7:07. At 6:55 received a text that delivery driver was standing in a crazy long line. At 7:15 I text driver and asked if he was still waiting and he said yes he had made it to the front of the line and they told him another 10 to 15 min. at 7:30 driver text and said it looked like a free for all stacks of pizzas everywhere with servers picking someone in line and grabbing food to try and fill orders. He said I am fairly sure your pizzas got made and then snagged for other orders. Finally order was delivered at 7:40. Both pizzas and wings were cold. The flatbread pizza looked like it had been dropped and no utensils for salads. I called over to MacKenzie and spoke to a young man and told him our food was cold and he asked if I wanted to speak to a manager and I said yes. After being on hold for 5 min he came back and said the managers were to busy in the kitchen and he would take my name and number. I said we are not more than 100 yds from you can you get us replacement for the cold food. He said since Door Dash delivered it "NO" since they didnt deliver it he said they had no control over how long the driver may have had the food and said he was really busy and hung up on me. Never received any call back from them. Have eaten here before and service and delivery was great. Not sure I am willing to take a chance again after this experience especially when you pay for hot food and then extra on a tip for good service. Read moreThis review is focused on the issues with ordering delivery through Mackenzie...on the food side, they have always had great pizza. The online ordering system will tell you that delivery is available for a location, only to tell you once you build your cart that online ordering isn't available. This will happen even if you build your cart in less than a minute, so its not that the system received too many orders while I was building the cart. If you call to try to order, they tell you that you have to order online. They also work with door dash but will frequently list the location as closed when it's not, and employees will suggest that you order from door dash while they have their location closed in the app. I order from here frequently and have experienced these issues a handful of times, and its just annoying to get blocked from checking out and not allow over the phone ordering when your tech is clearly malfunctioning. This is the only restaurant that I've ordered from that has this persistent issue with accepting money for pizza (and I order food online often...an embarrassing amount really 😆). I mean...isn't that what they are supposed to do at the end of the day? I've literally spent hundreds of dollars at other restaurants because of this issue. Read moreGood food. Service not so good. We were told it would be about a 10 minute wait, seated in 5, awesome! Then waited about 15 minutes for drinks. Another half hour or so for appetizers, another 15-ish for salads. Okay. At roughly the hour mark we asked our server if we could just have to go boxes for salads and the main courses to go. Took another 30+ minutes to get out of there. At one point waitress comes back and apologizes, tells us that the kitchen has not even started cooking the pasta.
At roughly the 1.5 hour mark, I made a trip to the bathroom, saw multiple tables that had not received food or even drinks, at almost 9 pm. Came back and the manager, Stefan, was being very rude with the other two in my party. Gave us 2/3 of our pastas in a bag. Very unprofessional behavior, dropped lines like "one of you needs to answer, I need to know who I'm talking to" when my party nodded in response to a question, and "maybe if you could afford to pay for your food." For reference, food had been paid for and then some on a card, waitress had realized an error, and they had then tried to charge a second time for the correct, lower amount. Stefan is at this point acting like we've behaved badly or messed up somehow, for being dissatisfied with bad service. Inappropriate responses from the manager, he ended up walking away and leaving us with two of the three pastas. No, we never got the third, and no offer of compensation...
