MyPlace is beautiful and comfortable until you have to stay longer than they want you to. My family and I stayed there for approximately 3 months, in that time we were surprised by random charges being attached to our bill weeks after paying for the room in advance. Claims of owing for this and that. They don't inform you at the time of paying for your room. The GM Anna would periodically add a charge to our account call to tell us rudely it was due immediately or we would have to leave. We paid weekly so it should have been mentioned right away at the same time we paid for the room. But never was. Towards the end they claimed we severely damaged their linens and blanket, although house keeping cleaned out room nearly once a week. Don't accidentally spill orange juice or chocolate milk. They will charge you a hefty price for their comforter and sheets and claim they can't fix it. So they feel the need to charge someone $370 for a basic comforter. To all the ladies out there staying here, maybe bring diapers to wear to bed if you are on your menstral cycle because if you leak on their beds they will charge and kick you out in a threatening way. We were harassed over and over and never caused any trouble while we stayed. Had to contact corporate several times on the GM as we spent a total $5,444 at this establishment in 3 months and my husband is a vet, we feel she liked to target the lesser of her and on nearly every veteran in her building because she seems to be queen Elizabeth and thinks she can bull doze through her clients doors with no reason to provide. She entered our room without consent and went through our cabinets defamed our characters while we sat down the hall waiting for her surprise entrance and inspection to end on our room. When asked what was going on, she turned her back to give you a cold shoulder still not proving an answer. The GM Anna May needs to be investigated by her boss and corporate. She lacks the proper communication skills of management to perform management duties and hires crack heads to clean their rooms. She stalks and waits for you to take off to head to a client's room and investigate and inspect when there's no reason to do inspections on rooms. We've seen her in action. We also tested her out on this just to see if our feelings were right. We made her think all of our family members left, left my 19 yr behind, also to mention we watched her watching us from the window of the office and sure enough, 5 minutes after we left the GM was at our door knocking and entering into our room. My daughter stated we weren't there, that she would need to wait for her parents to return and she pushed her way in stating we gave her permission to do a walk through of the room. She never stated what she was searching for, the entire time. Looked under our beds and in bathroom and in the cabinets. We deserve answers. Most of all the manager needs to be written up for her uncouthly behavior and ways. I can say this my husband and I have lawyered up...
Read moreThis experience with this female front desk person occurred the night of October 15th around 11:00pm. If I were the hotel manager or owner I would certainly look to see who was on shift at that time. It seems I may have had an interaction with the same person as the guest who wrote a similar review 4 or 5 days ago.
Decent room. Great access to the freeway. However I am giving this hotel one star because of the horrendous attitude and terrible service by the gal at the front desk. I called two times on my way here and no one picked up the phone. When I went to check in there was a sign at the front desk saying the person was away from the front desk and to call from the lobby phone. Called from the lobby phone and it rang for almost 10 minutes and no one picked up. Meanwhile the door to come into the lobby opened and closed every few seconds as I'm standing there on the phone trying to get someone to pick up. I poked my head around the corner and looked into the little office behind the desk and there is the front desk gal playing on her phone. If she did not hear the phone ring she definitely should have heard the automatic door opening and closing over and over again. The phone never rang once while I stood there calling the front desk. I told her I called twice on my way to the hotel and she told me I did not. I showed her my cell phone showing the call history and she still argued with me. I told her the phone must not be working and she told me if it was not working she would not have been able to log in at the start of her shift. She continued to argue with me about the phone that clearly she did not want to answer and probably had muted intentionally. It was a waste of time to continue to argue with her as she would not apologize for the lack of service and attention. When I brought the luggage cart back after putting my stuff in the room, the sign was still up at the front desk saying the clerk was unavailable and to call on the phone and there she was in the back office still messing around on her cell phone. Absolutely the worst customer service and attitude I've ever experienced in years of...
Read moreFor those of you who don't know about the MY PLACE hotel chain it is considered an extended stay hotel. But that doesn't mean you can't stay for one or two nights. What sets this hotel chain apart from a lot of others is its conveniences. In the room you have a full size refrigerator, a glass top two burner stove, a large microwave and a sink. The bathrooms are roomy and comfortable. They also have a pantry with food items available for purchase at your convenience. Stocked with necessities from frozen meals, drinks, snacks and other amenities. They also have a laundry room with full size washers and dryers. What makes this place in Missoula exceptional is the staff starting with the manager, Rodney, who is exceptionally good at his job. When I arrived on crutches with two dogs, a desk clerk, Raina immediately said "If you have any problems taking your dogs out I will help." When I needed to stay a little longer, Rodney worked hard to figure out how I could do that.
By the way, during this time of year in Missoula, area hotels are booked out. Rodney, isn't just the manager, I've seen him working in the laundry room and doing other chores that normally are handled by the staff. He also made sure to offer help if I needed any assistance getting food to my room (Even if he had to walk next door to the Cracker Barrel), he was willing to go get it. One morning. He saw me in the hall and said "hey I'm getting ready to order something would you like to add something to the order that I'm about to make?" I couldn't believe how kind and considerate he was and how he and his staff worked together to make me comfortable and to feel at home, almost like a family.
I could not recommend the Missoula My Place Hotel more! My visit to this establishment and the care they took in making sure I was comfortable was beyond what you would expect from hotel staff.
If you ever get the chance to stay at the Missoula "My Place"- do it. If you have any issues while you're there just ask for Rodney. He is amazing. Oh and did I mention they're...
