Buzzard Bar — Restaurant in Missouri

Came here for the food because we arrived late and it was the only establishment serving on site. Stayed for the entertainment! So clearly they were understaffed, and so I'll give you an honest experience. Later at night seems to be a 'Sit yourself down wherever there is a spot, and we'll get to you,' situation. It is a bar atmosphere after all. After a hot second, we had our table cleaned, food order taken, and drinks in hand, all the while listening to the entertainer sing. Forgive me for not knowing his name, but it's Cowboy something. All I can tell you is what a way to close out an evening! (He is really good and should check him out on the nights that he performs. ) For the food.... I ordered the prime rib sandwich with a house salad. The wife ordered a hamburger with potato soup. I can tell you my sandwich was pretty delicious. The onions and mushrooms were really carmelized. and that was some good shaved prime rib on top of that. I believe there was supposed to be a horseradish cream. but it was either non- existent, or forgotten. Either way, the sandwich didn't need it. The house salad with poppyseed dressing was an amazing suprise! I love the blend of the bitter baby greens, mixed with goat cheese, pecans, and that dressing! My wife's burger was cooked to order on temperature, which was cooked right! She enjoyed that very much. And the potato soup which we will probably assume that was holding all night, was not that memorable. I will say that we wanted to try the fries, but we were told that the fryers went down and couldn't order anything fried. And then 20 minutes later, other tables were recieving fries. Just seems odd. Let me start of by saying I've been to this place thousands of times and love coming here, but this time was different the service was by far the worst I've seen we decided to sit at the bar which I've done many times with no issues The bar tender Jared (I believe thats how he spells his name). Is by far one of the worst bar tenders I've ever seen for someone thats been there since 2022 should know what he's doing. He was all over the place very flustered like he couldn't keep up, but yet the restaurant wasn't that packed he keep telling people your going to have to wait I've got all these drinks to make we had 3 of us and we only received 1 menu had to ask for silverware and water we wanted more drinks as ours we empty he never asked if we wanted to get food and I had to tell him I wanted to order food but again was told it'll be a minute I've got all these drinks to make ahead of you long story short we never got food or more drinks he never came back and asked The couple sitting next to us had to ask a server for silverware as he never gave them any. I don't think Jared has the experience to run a bar needs so much more training and customer service skills it's a shame I expect so much more from a place like this. I love coming to this place but unfortunately if Jared is behind the bar I'm going elsewhere. WORTH READING THIS BEFORE YOU GO

Had the extreme displeasure of visiting this establishment.

Myself and 2 coworkers came in for drinks last night. We were asked to show ID which we had no problem with. One of my coworker's ID was expired and was not accepted which again, we had no problem with. He ordered a new ID and had a temporary paper ID but left it in his room. He tried to show them a picture of the paper one but that was not accepted either which, yet again, he understood and did not have a problem with. The server and manager said that if he brought the paper ID in, everything would be fine. So my coworker walked back to the room (20 min walk) to get the paper ID.

Just for reference, we are all between 30-35 years old and look like it. When my coworker came back and showed them the ID, the manager looked at it for 2 seconds and said "This is fake, the paper doesn't feel real." It is worth mentioning that my coworker was THE ONLY person of color in the entire restaurant. After this treatment, we have every reason to believe that he was being discriminated against. The managers were INCREDIBLY UNEMPATHETIC and brushed us off like we did not matter at all. I left a complaint with the Hotel Manager and have not received a call back. I will not be letting this go until there is SOME FORM...
