I actually loved this place. I didn't expect more than a crappy hotel Starbucks and associated food but, it was delicious.
We dined here twice - the first time was our first full day at the resort and we had plenty of time, no plans, and planned to walk the resort afterwards. The line had about 5 people and our wait for food was less than 15 minutes.
We tried a ham and egg breakfast bagel sandwich with a side of fresh fruit, two coffees, a yogurt parfait and the seasonal muffin which was a banana Nutella and it was the best muffin I've ever had in my life. I will dream about that muffin...no joke.
Only con was the line gets LONG since it's one of the only quick-service coffee places on the resort. There can be 15-20 people in line and then the kitchen backs up.
Our second trip was on our way out and we had a 4-hour drive and my infant in the carseat so I ran in for a "quick" bagel for the road. 45 minutes later I left with a ham and egg bagel (without the side of fruit it should've come with for $15), a super small kid's smoothie for $10 and two coffees. Husband was pissed.
If you have the time to wait - and dine in - it's very good food and the inside is beautiful with a...
Read moreMy wife ordered a hot latte. I went to pick it up, and they handed me an iced one. I told them it was supposed to be hot. The barista nodded like she understood. Instead of making a fresh drink, she took the iced coffee, ice cubes and all, and poured it straight into the steaming pitcher! Then she shoved the steam wand in, and it immediately turned into chaos. Steam billowed, ice cubes cracked while I stared in disbelief. It looked less like making a latte and more like she was trying to save 44.5 seconds to make a new hot latte.
I just stood there watching this iced latte get tortured into becoming a hot one. Finally, I leaned in and said, “Can you just make a new one?” She stopped mid-steam and looked at me like I had just ruined her masterpiece!! Meanwhile, my wife’s hot latte was turning into a lukewarm swamp of confusion and got dumped out. She proceeded to make a new latte that was horrible tasting and I’m wishing I gave the “iced latte turned hot”...
Read moreWhat a cute beautiful cottage/cafe! The aesthetic was there and felt so cozy! We ordered the large cold brew with French vanilla syrup (.75 for syrup - Torani which is shocking), everything bagel with cream cheese and the breakfast burrito. A small little thing of cream cheese for a large bagel. Food was very average and everything was overpriced for what you get. The large coffee is a grande or smaller at Starbucks. Good coffee just crazy price for the size. What was also interesting, their number system for people’s orders is very different, I’m not sure how the runners can get it right. Our number was 44 and then the people behind us were also 44. I felt like I kept hearing 44 as the only number…not sure if it was just the day we came or what. It’s good for a quick breakfast but there is better out there. Docking points for quality of food and portion sizes. I thought being at Big Cedar would have been...
