Okay, so i wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a nice dinner because we are having our first child together here in a few weeks and it could very well be one of the last nice evenings out for a while. 1.The night started off with us being sat down and not actually being approached by our waitress for a solid 20 minutes which was only slightly off putting. They were out of the appetizer she wanted followed by coming back 10 minutes later to tell me they were out of the appetizer i wanted. Once again followed 15 more minutes later to tell me they were out of the entrée i wanted (she also really wanted to try as well). It took a solid 40 minutes between the appetizers we did get for our food to actually come out. Then another 30 for our desserts My steak was significantly overcooked and our server agreed... they did offer to take it back and get me a new one but after over an hour of waiting i honestly just didn't want to wait for another. The manager did come out at the end of our meal and speak with me about how apologetic he was for the poor experience. He comp'd the the steak and her dessert as well as gave me a card to get a free starter and dessert the next time we come to one of the Big Cedar locations. The gesture was very appreciated but honestly my gf and i are very busy and with the new baby coming we're not sure when we'll be come eat a nice dinner again let alone afford one. Our server was wonderful and i do believe she did her best but i don't think anything she could do could've salvaged the evening honestly. Overall i had high expectations but in the end was just really disappointed in my experience.... Albeit we're pretty sure we saw Johnny Morris on the way out which went out of his way to greet us in passing so i guess...

Went to the Christmas buffet. It was $75. I went before for Easter several years ago and it was $50. I was disappointed there was no beef Wellington or quail as before. It's all you can drink champagne or mimosa. If you want a Bloody Mary or other drinks it's extra. The salad bar's produce was some of the freshest I've ever seen. They had a cheese plate with several varieties and many ages meats. They have several meat dishes including ham, pork, a New York strip steak option that was cut in small slices and had a sauce on it. My only complaint about that was it was well done instead of medium. They had salmon that had a cream sauce on it. They have very fresh fruit including strawberries, pineapple, blueberries and melons. They had scrambled eggs with cheese and they weren't over cooked. They had something similar to eggs Benedict but better. It was a toasted buttered egg muffin with ham a poached egg and light hollandaise sauce on top. It was one of my favorites and I don't like eggs Benedict. They had bacon, sausage patties and links. They had a carving station with turkey, lamb roast and something else. I usual like lamb roast but this was dry and fatty. They have an omelette station. They have cocktail shrimp and oysters. They had smoked salmon. They have many tiny deserts. I liked most of what I tried. The quality of most of the food is what really stands out. It is amazing compared to even many fine restaurants. Be prepared because they add a tip to your bill regardless of the size of your party. For three adults it was $250.00. You have a full view of the lake from your table. You DO want to dress a little nicer for this. This not a place to wear jeans no matter...

The experience I had was not good. The restaurant pushed back the reservation about 45 minutes. Walking in to be seated, the restaurant was noisy. You would need to raise your voice to hear the person across the table from you. As I was seated the waitress came out to offer a sample tasting. From when the waitress left, there was an 8 minute wait to get water in my glass. The waitress brought out biscuits. I bit into one expecting it to be warm or even hot. The biscuit was under room temperature and chewy. I drank all my water and it took 11 minutes until I got a refill. Throughout the night I either had to ask for water or wait a great deal of time to get more. One person on my table ordered the French Onion Soup. It tasted like the cook dumped a cup of salt into it. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes from when we ordered food to when we got our food. We had 5 people at our table. I ordered the Ribeye, medium well. They cooked it at a high temperature which made the outside of the steak black, which indicates that the cook had rushed to make the steak. There was no flavor to the ribeye. There was no seasoning. A beginner cook could make a better ribeye then what they made. The duck fat fries were bland, it was like eating hashbrowns with no seasoning. Towards the end it took a while to get the bill. Walking out of the restaurant the greeter did not even acknowledge that we were leaving to say "have a...

I am reviewing my experience of Christmas Day. I will say that the food and service were good, but that was not the problem...I had no idea when I walked in that I was going to spend more for a single meal than I have ever spent in my life! As many tourists do, I discovered that the Worman House was serving on Christmas Day through an internet search. I consulted two popular sites that both said that the Worman House was serving brunch from 9-2pm (same exact wording in both articles about places serving food on Christmas day), so I made a reservation on the Big Cedar site. However, after my daughter and I were seated, I looked down at the menu to discover that we were there for a set dinner priced in the three figures! While I knew I would pay more for the venue, I expected a pricey brunch. Of course, I did what most people would do on Christmas day after sitting down at the table...I stayed and I paid, OUCH! My suggestion...I'm sure I am not the only person who consults the internet to find out where to go when visiting Branson. It would be great if the information provided to the major Branson tourist blogs is correct. Secondly, it would be very helpful if the Menu was posted at the host station, so that patrons can confirm what is being served before they are seated.

This place was an unexpected gem in Branson Missouri. The entire place is so adorable and decorated like a French hunting house. In addition you have beautiful views of the lake. Every item we ordered was fantastic! We got the quail appetizer, the seafood potpie and their special the red snapper. For dessert we got the soufle and the lemon/blackberry roulade. All the drinks were amazing as well! Try the old fashioned you won't regret it! Even though all of the food was amazing the absolute best part was the service! Probably some of th best service I've ever had! Not only were they very friendly and attentive; they knew the menu and were able to answer all my questions about ingredients! Top tier for sure! I'd absolutely recommend this place for a great date night and Naomie (and staff) will take GREAT care of you!

Everything was amazing from the moment we came to the restaurant till the moment we left. The food was outstanding! My husband and I got French onion soup which was the best one we have ever had. He got tuna tartar and scallops appetizer as his entrees, and I got seafood pot pie. Everything we had was great! Our server Jenna was in top of everything, she made sure our experience was next to extraordinary! He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, and was even able to give us recommendations on the wine. The isn’t cheap, but so worth it! There was supposed to be life music, but instead the musician played downstairs and we were only hearing him through the speakers…
