Danna’s BBQ and Burger Shop — Restaurant in Missouri

Let me make myself very clear. My husband and I used to really enjoy coming to this restaurant and would go often. Unfortunately roughly a year ago or a little less they took a dramatic turn down on the quality. The food is absurdly hit or miss now. There is no in between. At one time I once though the prices were so high because you were paying for quality. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve noticed countless times them throwing “smoked” meat into the microwave to heat it up and cook it so it’s ready to serve, and other countless incidents that I’ve seen that are basically false advertisement. I’ve watched staff members drop food of the ground and still serve it just by tossing it back on the grill. Not only that but the restaurant is disgusting now and it makes you not want to sit and eat. It has an odor that resembles toilet water. In the back hallway by the women’s restroom there are huge patches of mold in the ceiling that have been there and nobody has bothered to fix as well as in the women’s restroom and when I explained it to the manager he simply looked at me and said “not my problem” They used to have an absolutely lovely and amazing staff a year ago. They all seemed to know what they were doing friendly and fast.I genuinely enjoyed interacting with their staff members and they all seemed to work well together and enjoy being there. Now it’s lack luster rude and you can tell nobody wants to be there. This last incident though was my breaking point. My husband and I had went by there on a busy night and had parked out back parallel to their dumpster. As we were heading out and back to the car we heard that back door fly open. When I turned around to look I saw what was either and employee or manager dump hot grease or water on a stray cat and laugh about it. Then 2 others came out and threw things at it just because they could. As I said previously I used to come to this restaurant fairly frequently. This was our first time to the Branson West location. Very disappointing. When you walk in the restaurant it is in an old fire truck house. Nice! Lots of light! But then the SMELL hits you. It really stunk bad. We thought maybe it was because we were at the counter, which is basically in the kitchen, and maybe they were cooking something odd. But it wasn’t the case. The smell in the restaurant was very bad. We sat far away by the soda machine. The smell was still horrible. Our food came. It was NOT near as good as the Branson location. In Branson we’ve never had a bad meal. Never! While eating, we were looking at everything and trying to figure out WHERE the awful smell was coming from. We both worked in restaurants in college. It finally came to us! Looking at the floor and tables and chairs- there was grease. Grease smeared. Whomever is mopping the floor is probably using the SAME mop water and/or the SAME mop that they use in the kitchen. So all that gunk is getting spread into the dining area. That’s the only thing that made sense by the look of the floor. We tried our tennis shoes on a few places- it was slick. We won’t eat there again. We are going to stick to the Branson location. The Branson West location had 1 table when we arrived. Nobody greeted us. Bathrooms were dirty and trash cans overflowing. In the dining area as well. It’s definitely not like...

Always happy with the food and portion sizes at Danna's. Their pricing is on the higher side. Two people would need $25.00 without dessert.

The atmosphere is cute with garage doors that accommodate outside eating. Younger servers are pleasant when they deliver food to your table. Paper towels are used for napkins and they use plastic silverware. Most entrees can be picked up with your hands but a salad or cutting BBQ chicken or beef is a little difficult with the lightweight utensils.

Cleanliness leaves much to be desired, however. Just there a few days ago and my shoes stuck to the floor with every step. Flies were bothersome, even inside. Also decided that I could wait to get home to use the restroom.

All in all, for good food it's a nice change from other restaurant offerings...
