Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Missouri

Love that chicken at Popeye's. Ok, when they first removed Church's and replaced with Popeye's I have to admit that I was not a happy camper. Then the awaited chicken sandwich hit the market; however, couldn't get one. When I finally got one, I was impressed. However, that is not the reason for the 5 stars. The reason is for those dang chicken nuggets. Omgoodness, no more flat nuggets for me. These are by far the best nuggets on this planet. The sauces are mediocre but them nuggets. Now if they could just make em in spicy, I might have to get a job there. Lol. Naw, just kidding I would end up needing to be either cut out of the building or living there. And neither of those are great options for love. Now if we can just add either more servers, bigger space or simply just a tad better staff, that would be my one and only place to eat out at. But I can say that the inside dine in experience is way better than the drive-thru. The drive thru line is almost always long, and then you get to the window and things change. We had decided to go to this Popeyes because we had not been in awhile it was our first time at this location and certainly our last when we first walked in the guy working the front register was not friendly at all he had asked if it was for here or take out but he spoke very quietly I had said I’m sorry because I did not hear him he then proceeded to roll his eyes and said for here or take very rudely the restaurant was dirty they had a old dusty box fan on the counter looks like somebody brought from their house blowing straight towards the open food we sat down then one of what I’m guessing was one of the managers was screaming and being really rude to the guy working the front register so I can see why he was acting that way that he was we sat down and there was what looked like dog hair all over the table there was food crumbs everywhere looks like the place hadn’t been cleaned at all the chicken was cold they was also out of coleslaw Mac and cheese it was not a great experience and the customer service was awful with that being said I will not be going back and I manage in fast food so I know how some days can be especially lunch rush but this...

I love the food. Particularly the spicy fried chicken (white and dark) and the 'platter' menu selection that has two sides instead of one. The red beans and rice is a drug to me and the mashed potatoes with gravy is always just right in thickness and taste. My other favorites are the spicy chicken sandwich, popcorn shrimp, the biscuits with a side of honey, and lastly the apple cinnamon pie.

Of course, the drinks are the usual tap syrup and water mix. Never tastes like the bottled stuff. The tea is alright.

As far as the dining area goes, I do too. Too wide open, to many people making awkward eye contact and nothing of interest or comfort in there to enjoy eating in. Eat in your car, at the park, in an office, in a latrine...anywhere but there, unless you don't mind the crowded lunch rush by a bunch of young brand new Soldiers who've just un-latched from...
