Ozark Tavern — Restaurant in Saint Robert

Definitely a bad experience. My spouse and I went between lunch and dinner rushes and were the only ones in the restaurant. All four workers were sitting at the bar and it took several minutes to be noticed, then additional time to be seated and our orders taken. Our appetizer was decent, but definitely not worth the cost (we ordered the sampler). Once we received our meals, we were entirely disappointed. The french fries tasted as though they were cooked in old oil (possibly the oil for our appetizer??).

Our experience gets worse, though. We paid in cash and the server did not bring us our change. When we asked for the change, he said he thought it was his tip (mind you the change was approximately $15, which would make his tip a 40% tip!!). I have never experienced a server that immediately took the change...needless to say, this scenario rubbed us the wrong way and we will not be returning. Hopefully others have a...

So while it’s nice to have a place on post to go for a drink and a bite to eat, the service here is usually.... not good. It’s always super slow, even if you are literally the only table in there, it’s like all the servers go hide in the back, or sit at the tables at the other end of the room and ignore you. Also, I’ve tried ordering wine before and most of the time I’m positive it’s that server/bartenders first time ever touching a bottle of wine in their life.

Aside from these things, when you actually get your food, it’s usually delicious and they have a decent sized menu that’s reasonably priced. I love the garlic parmesan fries. So if you have plenty of time to spare, it’s a good...

Extremely slow service and uncomfortably chilly inside on an already cold day. The food and atmosphere were good, but not worth the wait. The menu was really limited and not very interesting.

I ordered a wrap and a salad, not something that takes forever to make, but it took 35 minutes to come out.
