I spent an entire month in one of the "suites". I reserved a pet-friendly room and received a terrible room. The lights in the bathroom and bedroom didn't work, the fridge leaked water on the floor nonstop, and the wall between the fridge and bathroom was hot enough to warm my clothes if I let them hang there. It was definitely a safety hazard. The bed had wooden boards that blocked you from looking under there except a 6 inch gap under the headboard on each side. The animals consistently crawled under there and would drag gross items they found out from under the bed (used tissues, dead bugs, and a sock encrusted in years of lint and dust). I couldn't reach them once they went under there and was worried what I would do in an emergency. They would have perished in the fire if the wall behind the fridge caught on fire. I kept expecting it to due to how hot it was to the touch. The furniture is worn down from years of not being kept up and a chair back was broken so I had to be careful if I hung my coat on it. There was no coat closet. I never received a placard to indicate I had pets in the room so I declined the once a week room service for the entire stay. Besides, the tiny room barely had enough room for my items and I, so there wasn't room for the maid to get around when the kennels were set up and she wouldn't have been able to do the one necessary cleaning service because the floor would have been blocked by the kennel. Overall, a terrible hotel, a terrible experience, and poor treatment. The pet cleaning fee was a new charge daily despite the fact that the cleaning only costs one set amount of dollars. It's a rip-off. They should just charge a set fee for a pet fee, whether a client stays one night or 30 nights the pet cleaning process is the same, so there was no need to charge. A maid also confirmed that they just empty the vacuum bag between pet rooms and non-pet rooms, so it seems that there is literallly no pet cleaning process to remove dander and other allergens from the upholserty, bedding, carpet, curtains, and fabric lamp shades. Beware staying here if you have pet allergies because based on how dirty the room was when I received it, the basic cleaning is no more than a wipe down of flat surfaces and a light vacuum over both carpet and tile areas. The suite was no larger than a standard American bedroom. For some reason, a decrepid hide-a-way-bed couch was in the entry room. It's laughable because there was only 3 feet of space in front of it which then met with a bulky broken down entertainment stand. I'm not exaggerating on this furniture. Stains, tears, broken chunks of wood, cracked and wobbly chairs. This room is worth $18-$20 a night, max. I'm not picky but expected more from a Candlewood Suites. There's also a charge for late checkouts, even if you only need 20 minutes extra beyond noon.||If you can avoid being forced to stay in on-post lodging, I urge you to. If you don't understand that these buildings are not a real hotel then simply read the plaques and signage. "This building was paid for by Soldiers and their families" and "Army Hotels" written everywhere. It's not a real hotel, just privatized lodging. The government sold their old run-down buildings to IHG and it seems that IHG did nothing to ensure the buildings were improved to meet regular Candlewood standards.||Severely disappointed customer here. I would have turned around and left if I'd had a choice but the schoolhouse I attended on FLW has an agreement with IHG to utilize their hotel and cinsistently fill rooms for a reduced price. This leads to poorly maintained buildings because it won't affect business or future...
Read moreRoom 161âŠ. The staff was kind as I checked in. I stayed for three nights. The moment I received my keycards, neither worked. The front desk said they may have low batteries in the door card reader. The second night, I couldnât tolerate the stench coming from the A.C. unit. The front desk came immediately to spray some blue liquid in the unit. Breakfast was always full. The eggs were obviously not from a real chicken egg. The pork sausages were rubbery and had no flavor (my dog ate them though). The coffee was good. The second day I was there I received a call from the front desk asking why I left my belongings in the room, as I have clearly verified the dates of my stay at check in. Someone, not me, didnât punch in the correct days. The manager wouldnât take responsibility for her crew not doing their job correctly and refuse to give a slight discount for their error. I paid the full price and was ready to bolt out of there the following morning, avoiding their breakfast. The kitchen did not have an oven but a stove top and microwave. I wanted a kitchenette to be able to bake meals for my Marine son, as I was visiting him while he was in training and...
Read morevery clean, friendly staff, good bed, lots of pillows, soft & hard, all the rooms are good, but I suggest king guest or king suite. I like 3 rd floor away from laundry, stairs & elevator. Pool view or country view available. Hotels on post are 10 x better than any off post plus free breakfast is fresh fruit, different yogarts, cereals, eggs, bacon, sweet bread, pastries, coffee milk, orange juice, pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, bisc & gravy, and much more. Eat in dinning area is comfy enough, but can take to room as well. Fox news channel on all day through out the public areas. No tv has Cspan so must stream from your own subscription -â received 4 star for purposely shutting that channel down. I recommend going to commissary and cooking in. Save your per diam + area restaurants are low quality at best. Movie theater 6 bucks and exchange across the street. Small gym but good quality and thought out equipment so a work out is easy. 2 blocks away there is a massive gym that I highly recommend, dress appropriate for they have a strict dress code. must make reservations well in advance for this hotel is booked...
