Food is pretty good compared to other Mexican restaurants around here, the chips come out hot and fresh and the salsa is pretty good (not a STRONG tomato taste like I've had elsewhere). Some plates are smaller than desired and if you're an eater, you may want to select wisely. Las Fajita's has a "California Burrito" that is huge and fills up a hungry man, whereas here, not so much. The staff is friendly and attentive, up until you order and get your food, they did not return to check on us after food came (no refills, no checking on how the food it)... that is until we were done and ready for the check. The atmosphere is pretty dull, but the building is wide open and seems like design/decor is going to be a challenge, they seemed to go on the budget side and maybe have plans to style it out better as they grow?? I will say, everyone raved about them when they were up in Jane and were saddened when they closed... we never visited when they were up there and now that we have, I am not so sure what all the rave was about. It's just "standard", not amazing...
Read moreWent here with my car club for our monthly meeting and the service was really bad. We actually had to send someone to ask them if they were going to take our orders because it'd been almost 30 minutes and we still just had chips and drinks because nobody had come back to take our orders. Then we had to remind them that multiple people in our group still hadn't gotten their food and 3 people never actually got what they ordered before we were completely done with our meeting so they just canceled their orders. I got one of the 8oz ribeye meals with 2 "steak" tacos. The 8oz ribeye meal was alright but the steak tacos tasted like pork and they were the size of street tacos but were almost $4 a piece. After a decent tip my total was over $30 and I was still hungry afterwards and to top it all off my dinner kept trying to come back up through the night. Idk if they were just having an off day or what but I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone between the lack of service, high price of the food, and the low quality...
Read moreHands down the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. The water and food NOT GOOD! The water tastes like licking a dead fish, and the food...their is a big difference between chicken and pork, I'm not Mexican and even I can tell the difference. The white caisso cheese tastes horrible, like a mix of cheap motsirella and strong goats cheese. The veggies were way under cooked and the bacon was way over cooked straight from the microwave. The refried beans was nothing more than pork&beans pureed in a blender and served. The only delicious thing on the table was the strawberry soda from a bottle. But what can you expect from a Mexican restaurant that serves hamburgers and advertises it on the building outside. I now know where all the reject wanna be authentic Mexican cooks go to work when a real Mexican restaurant won't hire them... Bar None..THE WORST MEXICAN FOOD I EVER ATE!!!!!!! The restaurant was extremely clean and quiet, i have to admit that. And our waitress was very nice...
