The Foodies place to go to!!! Everything from the moment you walk in those doors is exceptional. The smiles, the smells, the colors, the menu, the attention to details, the silverware, the lighting... Then you sit down and you are in for a treat! Service was spot on, attentive but not intrusive, with a smile that only anticipated what was to be served. A cutting board with delicious crunchy sourdough bread complimented a choice of 3 sumptuous butters to start you off with. The choice of glass for the wine was perfect and the beer selection varied to satisfy the taste of any connoisseur. Perfectly planned timing between our appetizers and main courses gave us generous time to enjoy one bit at a time the flavor combinations of a couple of tasty eclectic fritters. Then the Sandwiches came. And the Wagyu Beef that we took as a dessert. It was one of tastiest meat I've ever eaten in all of my decades of traveling. Prices were fair and portions were properly sized, in a town where even a simple industrially generated burger at a sit down restaurant will cost you 20 dollars and were fine dining crosses the line of just being overly expensive for most of us locals. Do yourselves a favor and treat your taste buds to this Gem of a Diner. Take your time...don't go there expecting fast foods or a cheap meal, here everything seems and most likely is homemade. There is plenty of places in town for expensively presented Sysco meals. You will be delighted you stopped...
Read moreGreat design of the place who probably is a bit in an unfortunate location in Moab.
Starter was excellent (Harissa Carrots). The Margaritas were quite underwhelming and was a total miss. My wife ordered salad with a chicken which was excellent. I ordered a burger and asked for salt as it was bland and under seasoned both the burger and the fries. No taste at all…
The server ignored my request and didn’t want to provide me with salt. Interestingly enough the neighbour table asked the same and commented as well that the food was bland and underseasoned. Atleast they got some salt and pepper to season it… Remember also people coming from 10-15km hikes in over 90f.
We considered dessert but weren’t offered and given the option (my wife even commented in the start to the server she was excited for the dessert). They just gave us the check without asking us if we wanted dessert even though we didn’t ask for the check.
We had two servers and neither were service minded. Even though we were treated poorly we gave a handsome tip. In London where we are from this attitude would not fly….
The food and drinks was hit and miss but the restaurant deserves a one star mainly for their attitude and service as they couldn’t deal with constructive feedback from their customers. Hopefully the servers and the chef just had a bad day as the place has potential… But we did not feel...
Read moreMoab needed this. Tired of burgers and Mexican food? Yeah, me too. The only other place that compares needs a reservation 3 months in advance. Tired of trying to park down town? Whelp, easy peasy with plenty of parking.
Cocktails what you want? They have you covered. My wife and I both had delicious drinks. Can you find yellow chartreuse?!? I've been trying so I can make one of those cocktails that lady on the gram is slinging but I can't find it! And boom! there it was. Get that drink. It was like a whiskey sour but smoother and more refined.
My only complaint is we didn't get enough time to drink them before our charming waitress showed up. Then we were forced to order food. I would have been upset, except the food was fantastic. Salmon was a good portion if you just cranked out Cpt Ahab but perfectly cooked and delicious for those that just need some pics for the gram. My wife got the short rib. Not short on flavor and perfectly cooked. When was the last time you got paired wine servings in Moab???? We did.
Turn those lights down and enjoy your night here. Next time I'm getting a cocktail and sitting on the couch to see who else has the good sense...
