Moab Rock Shop — Attraction in Moab

This store will hold a special place in my heart. A friend had recommended it to me when I told her I'd be visiting Moab. I was able to go and found the store very charming. It's small and easily crowded, but the layouts of the stones are great for someone who gets easily over-stimulated. The reason I wanted to leave a review though, is because I had purchased a necklace there and it came to be a very special necklace to me. Somehow it went missing (breaks my heart every time I think about it). I felt a deep connection with that particular stone and style of necklace and decided I needed to try to replace it somehow. So, I emailed them with a picture of it wondering if there was any hope of purchasing another one. At first they didn't think they had any, and quickly gave me information on their suppliers. Not even 24 hours later, though, I got another email from them saying they had found it. I was able to call in and purchase the new/replacement necklace and they shipped it to me-I got it within a week. I am blown away by how responsive they were and that they didn't just say "we don't have it anymore" and leave it at that. I hope I get to go to Moab again so I can enjoy this place again. :) I'm definitely recommending this place to anyone I know that...

I came here with my family to check out and maybe buy rocks and the employees were just rude, they didn’t greet us as we entered but this tall lanky guy in particular, snapped at me and told me to put down this small puppy that was about to leave the store I was only trying to be nice and stop that dog from escaping. I understand that they’re busy and all with marking prices and such but have some integrity and never forget your manners. I was really happy to be able to come back to this place but I was immediately disappointed to see how poor the staff is towards their customer. We didn’t end up buying anything because of this one employee and we won’t be coming back any time soon. The lady who was marking prices didn’t seem any happy at all, she didn’t even apologize for him she just had a sourpuss face. To be honest the staff wasn’t like this 2 years ago the last time I was here, they were a lot friendlier. I hope this shop gets their game together and goes back to being what they were or at least I hope they get better...
