Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Mobile

Customer service is excellent. They take your order pretty quickly and are friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes, which are quite large. Dining area was experiencing what seemed to be a leaking roof during a storm, and the smell of disinfectant was fairly strong but not overpowering. Good prices, plenty of food, and great customer service from friendly people. Update as of 10.01.24-Been a few weeks since I ate there. Ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi to go. Didn't check the containers because I was wiped out from another day at the meat grinder. When I finally decided to eat a couple of hours later, discovered the chicken had been left out and the meal was very diminished from what I'm used to from them. Went back this evening, 3 weeks later, and the usual cheery gentleman who took my order acknowledged that they accidentally left the chicken out of my order over 3 weeks ago! Didn't charge me for the chicken on this combo order to make up for it. Stellar! 5 stars for this and I hooked him up with a 20 spot for being coolio with the whole thing. Not one to gripe and complain when things go wrong. It happens, but they owned up to it and corrected the issue....

First of all, I do have to say that it is a lot of food for the price. Had the surf and turf hibachi, wife had chicken hibachi, and my little brother also had the chicken hibachi (guess they were to "chicken" for any other hibachi), . "Corny, I know". The rice was awesome, the vegetables were actually cooked to perfection seeing as how fast the food came out. Now, the shrimp was a little dry, but delicious. The steak, I have to say...was absolutely the worst I've ever had. So much, WAY TOO MUCH salt. I have never in my life felt like I had overdosed on salt. I mean, I was sweating and panting halfway through my food. Went through 3 cups of water. That was my experience. As for my wife, and my brother...they liked they're food. Well, the Rice and vegetables. They're chicken (both of them) , was as salty as my steak, if not more condensed. I'm not going to tell you not to go there. They are a nice, clean fast-food Japanese-themed restaraunt. Just if you eat there, you may want to ask them to reduce the sodium / use less salt on your order. I will definitely be going back. Just gonna ask for...

The food was average. I have been here before and it was way better! Here’s a hint order your food without rice and double veggies,it’s better. The service was substandard. I noticed the cashier was really friendly to firemen that were there, but less happy to the African American female standing there waiting. The crab ragoons were better than the chicken hibachi. Maybe he felt rush, but it was only two people in the restaurant and the firemen left with their bags with a great thank you. I agree that Firemen should be treated with respect… but every customer that walks in your restaurant to eat..should be appreciated equally....
