Pollman's Bake Shop — Restaurant in Mobile

I was more than disappointed with my visit to Pollman's especially that owner. Seriously, the food was HORRIBLE. It tasted old, stale, and not fresh at all, which makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

I've also heard some rumors about the kitchen at another location being disgusting, which makes me worry about how clean things really are.

And let's talk about the owner – seemed like they were way more interested in making money than making customers happy. he literally wouldn't let this sweet woman use a gift card at this location. It's like they're only focused on money and nothing else.

I walked into Pollman’s Bakery today and immediately felt unwelcome. Not a single worker greeted me—every one of them was glued to their phones and completely ignoring customers. The place was a mess, with sweet treats scattered around, even near cleaning chemicals, which was honestly concerning.

When someone finally acknowledged me, it wasn’t with any kind of friendliness—just attitude. A friend and I meet for coffee occasionally at Pollman’s Old Shell Rd. Ash and Reagan are friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about products.. They offer great service helping to make our experience enjoyable AND they make good coffee. The atmosphere is basic, clean and can be loud with sound reverberating off hard surfaces but still a pleasant experience. I’m not a huge fan of sweets so odd I’m writing a bakery review. But I like their oatmeal raisin cookies. My children like their sugar cookies. I’ve heard good things about other sweets and breads. I’ll soon try...
