Rock N Roll Sushi - Midtown — Restaurant in Mobile

Ordered on Uber eats. I’ve eaten here before even though i prefer the mcgregor location. Either way i am familiar with how the food should taste. My crispy wontons were old and stale. To the point i attempted to still eat them but just couldn’t do it they were so bad. I called the store and informed them. Their response was “i assure you we make them made to order” there is no way these were just made. The filling was thick and cold, and the outside was brittle as if they were made then redropped when ordered. If you look at the picture you can see underneath the breading another outer layer that looked refried, stale whatever you want to call it. The store stated the only thing they can do is i bring them back and they recook them. I ordered them on Uber eats, i was unable to come get the order , it’s clear i am unable to bring them back. She said there was nothing more they could do. This is not the first time this location quality of food has been a disappointment, the first time i was gracious and just chucked it up to maybe it was an off day. I ordered from them today cause they were the closest location to my job and uber eats continued to choose it as the delivery store. Today it solidified their quality is just bad. Nothing like mcgregor, never had an issue with quality or service there.

this was not a delivery issue. My order was delivered fast to be exact 8 min from the time picked up from store and it was not a lot of time between time ordered, picked up, and delivered. I’ve ordered and received wontons and it’s taken more than 10 min and fresh wontons were still warm by the time they were delivered. If this is the quality of what you all consider “fresh” i recommend...

My oldest son has wanted to go here for a couple years, so recently I took him for his birthday. I cannot stress enough how much my already high expectations were exceeded.

We started with the sampler appetizer because neither of us was sure what we wanted. It’s amazing! The crab wontons, jalapeño poppers, and shrimp were amazing! I liked every single thing, but those three I can rave about how good they were.

Then we got the Sweet Home Alabama roll. I’d never had a fried sushi restaurant roll, but I’m glad I tried it. It was delicious!

Against our better judgment, because we were stuffed, we let our amazing waitress talk us into the cheesecake for dessert. She was so attentive and helpful it was easy to talk me into dessert. Cheesecake is my son’s favorite thing besides sushi. This was a fried cheesecake.

We got about two bites in a piece before we had to ask for a to-go box. The remnants were quickly devoured by the rest of my family when we got home. This is the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Took my wife here after hearing from everyone how amazing this place is.. and WOAH! The sushi was phenomenal! We love us some sushi and you can tell the sushi here is very fresh and of high quality. Not only was the sushi amazing, but the service was incredible. We sat at the bar and had some drinks and met Kylee. You can tell she knows her stuff and has a lot of good experience. Not only was she very pleasant and professional, but she had a great, bubbly personality, and you could tell she loves what she does. She recommended us some drinks that she made us and they were so amazing. I now understand why so many people come here. The service, food, drinks, atmosphere etc.., is outstanding to say the least.
