We have an Arby's next door to a Wendy's, so for variation on the given night there is that! Arby's has always been the most likely simply because of the variety as compared to a more rigid menu at Wendy's. You know it's the same company, right? So, Arby's roast beef? I've never been too hot on their signature sandwich, but Arby's introduced these Specialty Sandwiches a few years back, basically sandwiches you would expect at a nice sit-down restaurant, where are your tea arrives in a glass glass, and no one is waiting to push you out for the next customer! And to seal the deal, the newer Arby's have changed architecturally, including a fairly comfortable sit down dining rooms. Sweet! So, in this case what's not to like? Well you've heard the voice over on their commercials, stating that Arby's "are the meat people,"I'm telling you about it being piled high? Well, this time I got a specialty sandwich based on turkey and swiss with the addition of bacon, and being in a hurry I took it through the drive-thru, so that when I got to my destination my level of anticipation was very high...ONLY TO DISCOVER that this location in mocksville North Carolina seems to have some sort of austerity program in place! No, no, no! No meat "piled high" between slices of their specialty grain bread. Mostly a little wad of sliced turkey on one side of the sliced sandwich, and the bacon kind of thrown at the sandwich and covered by the wilted lettuce. That's the problem with going through a drive-thru! Obviously, you are in a hurry or you wouldn't subject yourself to that sort of thing, right? And when you finally get to your destination you have expectations that the sandwich you've been getting it's going to be the same sandwich you're getting ready to feast on, now. But, no! This was the exception, and had it not been for our foresight in requesting six packets of their excellent "horsey sauce" we would have been stuck with basically a hint of turkey on two slices of rather dry bread with some wilted lettuce. Whoa, you think I FORGOT the fact that this came with Swiss cheese? Well I didn't, but they did...forget! NO CHEESE! And, to add insult to injury, since we took it as a meal deal, we got what they describe as curly fries, and you know they usually are! What we got was one curly fry and the rest being broken, leftover looking, pieces of potato generally in the shape of small letter "C's". No, sorry, this visit qualifies as a total class A bust! I'll visit again in a couple of weeks, and change this if this visit turns out to have been just a really bad...
Read moreStop here for my wife's dad. However I'm never really that happy with the prices. We always get him the small classic combo. But we were very discouraged by the way they put their curly fries in the boxes. With your prices even the small should be filled correctly. We found nothing but little bits of french fries in his box. It was hardly enjoyable they were very crispy and not many curly fries at all. You have got to realize your price point on food is very high. So you need to not only load your sandwiches with roast beef even on the regular ones. I mean after all this really isn't roast beef it is a processed meat product. So it's not like you are going to lose money you're not selling real roast beef anyway. Also you need to clean this establishment a little better inside. For some reason this place is always kind of dirty. It doesn't get much business inside so I don't know why it can't be clean. This place is definitely not doing the 3 C's of great diners and dives. It is not cost effective. It is not very clean. And at sometimes it's not very courteous. You need to bring back military discount. And you definitely need a discount for seniors. Because these prices for processed meat and very little curly fries in a small-box. Which cost about $8 it's a little crazy not getting your money's worth. Could be a great place if they get a little bit heavier handed on the roast beef and they offer good curly fries and stuff them in the box right too at least a little overfilled. Sometimes when I go to the one in Salisbury North Carolina they tend to do it that way. Please increase your standards and offer the customers more product. Also you definitely need a military discount & Local Heroes discount for police fire and medical personnel. With prices like you have you're not going to lose any money. It is crazy that a small classic combo cost $8 almost. I know we have a little bit of inflation but for processed meat product and potato product curly fries that's a little outrageous. I'm glad we just go there for her father I would rather eat at Millers or C's BBQ. You definitely get your money's worth there. May you seek the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ daily. Pray for a nation during these...
Read moreI went to this Arby’s Saturday. Not only did I have to sit in the drive-thru for 15-20 minutes but when I got home I realized that they had messed up my order. I called and let them know. They took my info and told me that they were sorry for the mess up and would replace my full meal for free. All I needed to do was give them my info when I came back. I decide to go back this evening since I will be going back on my diet tomorrow. I placed my order and proceed to give the manager my info. She states that she’s had no record of me. How was my info lost in less than 24 hours? Not only do this restaurant need to get better at not messing up orders but they need to develop a better system for when they do mess up someone’s order. Will not be returning to...
