Waffle House — Restaurant in Mocksville

This place has gone down hill. The young man that was cooking today, (June 23rd 2023, around 12:30pmish). I have no clue if he is new, but he clearly not following instructions from the ticket that the waitress we had took down. My husband ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, but out came a hame and cheese with egg, even the waitress fussed at the cook saying she never said egg. (I saw the ticket). Also, my eggs and grits never had any cheese in them like I asked, I also ordered a Blueberry waffle that didn't come out and wasnt asked if we still wanted it until we had already walked up to the register. We told our waitress what the problem was with the food, we and the other workers heard her tell the cook what we wanted but, he didnt listen. Waitress looked at my plate that I didn't really eat/touch and seen there was no cheese. She was very sweet and told us how sorry she was, we assured her it wasn't her fault. She made me the Blueberry waffle with extra blueberries and said I can take it home and she didnt charge me for it. I wish I could recall her name. She was...

Amazing staff that has a great flow and system. Tia took great care of us and Jordan (boss lady) made sure the restaurant was at float. We all know how busy it can get and for being understaffed for most places these days. They held it down!

9/17/2023 12’ish pm I do want to point out they do have rude customers out and today was an experience to see. They couldn’t wait to sit down at a table and sat themselves at a table that needed to be cleaned. Remind you, short staff. Tia reminded nicely to wait a moment so that she can get to it, but this party still insisted to seat themselves. So Jordan reminded them “again” that the table needed to be cleaned and sanitized. Jordan started cleaning the table for the party and one of the lady still sat on the booth in the way of the cleaning process. Knowing they have already created entertainment for us and others eating. The party had set themselves up for failure and embarrassment and ended up leaving. Entitled much!

Came in this morning with my husband and two kids. Arrived to an empty table with dishes still on it. We didn't mind waiting for it to be cleaned off, however, 15 minutes is a bit excessive. When the bus boy came over he wiped it down, but didn't remove the dishes. We waited another 5 minutes hoping they would be remove-They weren't. My husband offered to move the dishes to the counter, and the bus boy said "No they'll holler at me." Another 5 minutes went by, dishes still there. Our oldest was getting impatient so we just let her sit in the booth and a woman behind the counter said "You just need to be patient with us, we need to have someone sanitize that table!" ( What did the bus boy do when he wiped it down???) Meanwhile the bus boy had already moved onto other tables where 5 people sat down. Needless to say, we left and...
