We went to Pizza Hut tonight hoping things had gotten better. My mom worked as a manager at Pizza Hut when I was a kid. They used to be great, but it seems many have been declining. Tonight was worse than our past experiences.
We arrived about 6:45 and we're promptly seated. Our waitress asked what we wanted to drink. We told her. She then asked if we know what we wanted to eat. I asked for a menu. She told me they were doing a new $5.00 thing. She proceeded to go through a list of everything we could get for $5. Then said if we needed more details, she could give us a brochure. I requested a brochure. She brought us a menu and the 2 or more for $5 brochure.
We decided after looking over the menu and brochure that the $5 meal was a good idea. We ordered pasta, bread sticks, garlic knots, and a medium pepperoni pizza. While waiting we noticed there were not many people inside, but people with online/phone orders were filing in and out.
About 15 minutes later, the family beside us got up and asked the waitress if they could just pay for what they had eaten and leave without the rest of their order. They did so. Another group came in and ordered. They had the same waitress as us.
It's been about 20 minutes since we ordered. Online and phone orders still coming and going regularly. Our waitress comes to our table, doesn't get us refills of drink. She says the computer messed up and they lost our order. I felt bad for her, because she was nervous. I told her it was okay and we ordered again.
We wait 25 more minutes. Meanwhile the other group that came in got their food and refills. We still had not gotten a refill. More online and phone orders were completed.
About 10 minutes later I got out my phone. I told my friend that I was going to call the Pizza Hut we were at. I called and the phone was quickly answered. I asked what the average wait time was. The woman on the phone said 15 minutes. I said thank you and hung up.
We got up to leave. The manager came over and asked what was wrong. We said we had been waiting too long and just wanted to pay for our drinks. She asked had our waitress taken our order. We said yes and 50 minutes ago. She said oh it should be coming out any minute. We said no thank you and we would pay for our drinks. She told us not to pay for them and she was sorry. We went across the parking lot and got Burger King in about 5 minutes.
Also there is a bulb missing from the light socket in the bathroom. It should be replaced for...

I usually order online but today we were in a hurry and I had just thought it would be faster to call and order by phone. Well when ordering our NORMAL order the older lady on the phone stopped to tell me they couldnât put the garlic buttery blend on our pizza (we always get the garlic buttery blend on our pizza when ordered online) & I explained that to her and she said that I was wrong, that the online ordering doesnât offer that option. After a going back and forth with her a few times I just spat out the word whatever and went on with my order. Once we arrived to pick it up she asked for the name was and we realized we never even gave her a name bc of how âin a rushâ she acted to get off the phone with us. We then told her that and she just took my husbands card and swiped away... NOT EVEN ASKING US IF SHE WAS SWIPING FOR THE CORRECT ORDER. Luckily it was so whatever we just looked past it and continued to wait for our pizza.. then while at the to go window a lady was standing with our order in her hand acting as if she was waiting for the rain to calm down before opening the window to give us our order. After about 8-10 minutes of just watching her, my husband pulled around and parked so he could just go in and get it himself. If I wasnât pregnant and wasnât totally craving Pizza Hut today Iâd just have told them to forget it when she tried to say she couldnât add a garlic buttery blend flavor to my crust. And of course as soon as we left I looked online and put in what I ordered to see if she was right about not being able to add a crust flavor to my pizza and BAM there it was, THE OPTION TO ADD A CRUST FLAVOR.. like I tried to explain to her the first time. Mind you, had been craving Pizza Hut pizza for a month. Just got my pizza out, yes for a late dinner to be doughy and no pepperoni on my side. Never had a bad experience in Mockesville, being on the way to our camper. Ordered on the way there, To Go. Walked inside, 2 people working. Did not know buffets still existed, thinking I am sure glad we ordered to go. Stood there a good 7 minutes after using the restroom, faucet was not even attached the sink, ladies room. Should have been my 1st run clue. Man said, "Be with you in a minute mamm." Girl came up, gave her our name, Webb. She says, "Read the order!" to the guy, another order, to tell me my order was being made over and in the oven. Me, okay, only 2 of you in my mind. Paid, gave a $5 cash tip on a To Go order asking if my husband and I could come to the drive through window in 15. Went to get gas, ice, came back through, she barely remembered. Asked for crushed pepper for her to run through store, pour some off of a table into a plastic cup and said, "The lid does not fit." Okay, okay......Now, yes, it's the 4th. Finally went in to eat a slice the pizza at my camper. No pepperoni on the black olive side, doughy, doughy even in my air fryer. Pissed at 3:35am. Don't care, anyone that orders pizza should be happy regardless of the time of day. I will never be back and will blow every Pizza Hut up from here on out. Bad, Bad, Bad service....
