Up until this past Wednesday, April 24th, I would have given 4.5 stars for this DD. For over 4 years I have been going to this DD at least once a day, mostly twice a day and sometimes 3 times a day. Probably sounds very ridiculous and greatly exaggerated to most, but anyone who personally knows me and most of the revolving door of employees and managers at this store knows this to be very very true. Believe me I have bank records to prove it! And since being diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer one year ago itโs the simple things like my love for a good latte or macchiato that means a lot! At times I didnโt receive the best service or my order was wrong or had to wait for more than 15 mins or so in drive thru but I liked the employees I saw everyday and they always treated me with so much kindness. I got to know morning, afternoon and evening shift employees over the years. Several employees who had left and come back. It was always great to see them again. I have always been a drive thru customer. Sometimes I would say maybe 3 words and they knew my voice and knew my order and just said โoh hey you can pull aroundโ. For several months now service seemed to be getting worse, latte machine not working or having to pull up and wait for them to bring my coffee to me even though no cars behind me. I was told that there was a timer at the drive thru that if I pulled up it meant quick service and employees received perks for quick service. So of course I was always willing to help the employees because they make very little. Well going to this DD for me is over! I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS DD AGAIN!!!!!!!! Last Wednesday I had treatment, went to Clemmons DD and then came home to sleep rest of day. Treatment wipes me out!! About 8:30 pm I really wanted DD so I knew I had very limited time to get there before they closed at 9:00 pm. as posted. I arrived at the drive thru at 8:42 pm and waited for a voice and nothing so I said hello and waited, no voice and then I said hello again and again no voice. Well I just thought speaker was not working so I drove on around to drive thru window. I saw an employee which I had seen several times before at the cash register and I said hello and she opened the window and said โ Iโm sorry but we closed early tonightโ I said but you donโt close until 9:00 pm and she said the manager closed so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came to the window and said โ What can I do for you honey?โ and I replied โ why are you closed you donโt close until 9? She said honey Iโm tired Iโve been here 16 hours with no staff and Iโm closing early. Of course I was not happy but never raised my voice but her tone with me irritated me and I said so your tired? Well that set things in motion for her to go off. โSo youโre going to make me cry over a cup of coffeeโ Ah no but I come here because the coffee is good and Iโve been coming here for so long sometimes 3 times a day. She said โreally Iโve never seen you and I said well Iโve seen youโ I asked who was over her and she said โno oneโ I said โ so youโre the ownerโ and she said yes Iโm the owner and then shouted continuously at me โyou want it you want it you want it!โ Ok so she finally admitted she was not the owner then said that he was sleeping. I finally just said with a tone thank you very much and as I drove off she yelled out the window โ DONT YOU EVER COME BACK TO MY STORE F* YOU!!!! As I drove around the building to exit I saw a State Trooper sitting at the drive thru window. I pulled up and advised him that DD was closed and he said โthey donโt close until 9โ and I said yes but not tonight the manager is tired. Then a black van came behind the trooper so clearly others relied on the posted hours as I did and business was lost that night. I just want to say to this manager. Feel very blessed to be tired from being physically able to work 16 hours. I would give anything to be able to go back to work and be tired. Instead Iโm tired and weak from being sick but I still feel very blessed! My...
ย ย ย Read moreThe strawberry coolatta was not made correctly, and when I made it known to the staff, they commented that is was made to recipe and next time I should ask for more syrup. Since it was not my first strawberry coolatta, I disagree. I don't think I had ever seen one that was a full pink color before instead of red.
Secondly, the coffee my wife ordered seemed a little weak versus normal Dunkin.
Anyway, there are a few issues here. First, this is a service industry and the customer's feedback needs to be taken seriously. Second, the Dunkin Donuts brand depends on consistency and making sure the customer is pleased.
I wished they had provided a receipt so I could discuss with the store manager. Is this also now a normal practice?
This is an issue that could and should be dealt with differently, and I hope that this store's crew can be lead to...
ย ย ย Read moreStopped here on a road trip for my birthday, reward didn't show up in the app which is otally okay, what wasn't was the entire customer service experiende. Not only were they aware it is my birthday and that I wasn't getting any of the perks, they made us sit in the drive thru with our drinks in the window as they made other orders and didn't acknowledge us at all. We waited 3-5 minutes and my fiancee finally spoke over my shoulder to ask for someone to cash us out to which she got yelled at that they only had three people and the barista didn't even attempt to come cash us out or apologize for anything. my fiance then said a staff shortage is understandable, but not even saying "we're understaffed just a minute" is unacceptable, to which we finally got helped. We own an understaffed business and still treat people better than...
