The food is good. The building/set up is nice. The atmosphere was terrible. I was greeted at the door & I asked if there was a seat at the bar. The hostess walked me over, handed me a menu & then brought me chips & salsa. All nice. Made me feel comfortable. From there on everything went down hill despite the managers obvious coaching of his waitress (the woman working behind the bar.) The only distinction I could make from me and the other few people at the bar was that I was white. I was seen looking through the menu & then putting the menu away. Was I asked if I was ready to order by this lady? No, instead she focused her attention & time to the two gentleman to my left that only spoke Spanish. She took their order though. I picked the menu once more & then set it down again & was still deliberately ignored. The manager came by & asked if I was ready to order & then took my order. Tacos de Carne Asada, Avocado w/Pico & a Corona. The avocado w/pico never came. The manager came by again & noticed the avocado w/pico never came. He apologized & I said no problem. He obviously talked to his waitress because then she came out & asked if I was doing ok. First time she acknowledge or said anything to me. Everything is fine I said. I about to finish my Corona & I think to myself, I really want my bill so I can leave, but maybe I should stay & have another Corona because things felt a little awkward but I thought if I stayed for another beer it would show good faith or whatever. But I finished my bottle of Corona & this lady walked past me & my empty bottle several times & nothing. The manager comes back through & sees my empty Corona & asks if I would like another. I just told him I wanted the bill. I was ready to leave. I walked to the front to pay waiting on him to finish helping the guest outside & the waitress that never gave me the time of day talked to me again for the second time. All she had to say was that someone will be there to help me soon. Call it how you want it. The food was good. The manager & the hostess that seated me was nice. The waitress/lady behind the bar that refused to help me for whatever her own personal reasons might be,...
Read moreI ordered two fajita salads. The fajita salad was not on the menu, but I have found that to be the case at a few Mexican restaurants. My wife and I love Mexican cuisine, and eat it, perhaps a little too often. I was disappointed with the salads. I felt as though they were lacking in what I would expect to find in a fajita salad. There was no pico, no beans, no sour cream, and very little cheese. The chicken itself was very salty to me also. They did however do a wonderful job cooking the onions and Bell peppers to a perfect tenderness. Unfortunately it was all served on a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce. What you might find on a sub. Overall it was a very underwhelming salad. I will say however, I gave an extra star for the overall service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and service was fast. I was pleasantly surprised to be given a big bag of chips and salsa with my order also. So my experience wasn't all bad, and I will go back to try other things on the menu. Maybe they will do a better taco salad, then...
Read moreI ordered chicken fajita for $10 lunch price and $3 Jamaica water (+taxes and tip). Food taste was good, but horrible service. The Waitress brought my friend something she didn't order and argued with her about it. Waitress looked aggraviated even before we ordered. The Waitress didn't show up back at our table. Then we ordered to go cups from a different waitress and they brought the empty cups, placed them on the table and left. We had to ask for them to fill the cups (our drinks were empty). Asked for the bill and they never brought it to the table. Overall, I felt they're not used to deal with Hispanic clientele (us) or they have no competition and therefore customer service is the very minimum. Now, the place looks clean, their bathrooms are clean and they have beautiful Mexican decorations all over the walls. But unfortunately, we will never recommend this place to...
