Save your money just go at lunch hours between 11:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. I saw this place go from lunch to dinner cuz we got there at 4 p.m.Not much difference in food offerings. Would like to see plastic gloves up at the bar. Unfortunately covid-19 is still around us. Need to put out fresh spoons every hour on the serving line. They continue the same lunch offerings which is mostly chicken. They also continue the pepper steak which is probably the only other meat besides chicken. The only thing they do different at night is offer more fried seafood like frog legs. They also offer a baked salmon. The rest of the stuff is totally the same as lunch time prices. Maybe saw a little bit of different sushi at night. But the desserts were the very same. They also offer shrimp at lunch on the salad bar, and a imitation crab, shrimp dish they call mixed seafood with butter on the mainline. Which is the only third offering other than chicken. Overall the biggest offering here for lunch and dinner is chicken. So it is best to come at lunch and save your money if you can. I will say the food is overall good. However found some trouble with the food not being very hot. Seems like their Buffet is not running as hot as it should. The underneath hot table must not be getting the food hot. Also, I waited for them to bring out fresh stuff and it wasn't even hot. The food gets very cold quick here on the buffet. Which would indicate some of the buffet burners are not working properly. This could be a problem with food safety. Also could be a contamination problem because hot food should be hot. They need to offer different types of meat at dinner time. Like have some hot steak on a stick. There's not enough different offerings at dinner to make it worth the extra charge. Also they need to find out why the buffet food is not staying hot. Need to improve quality and cleanliness here in the overall restaurant. The soups needed refreshing from lunch. Both the hot and sour , and the Wong Tong soup tasted a little old. Also where are the spring rolls. The egg rolls you have are way too covered in bread . Saw some very bad cleanliness issues. Like every time I come here the bathroom seems a little dirty . But I would say it's a safe lunch bet. But definitely not worth the dinner price. Unless frog legs is something you're craving. Otherwise like they say frog even taste like chicken. So lunch time is best deal here. Unless they improve to having more dinner dishes like beef with broccoli or other different dishes like four seasons. Lunch and dinner are the same types of food here right now. Very much mainly a chicken offering Buffet. The lunch price is not that bad here. I like lunch here has a very big crowd so food is turned over nicely. Having fresh food is always good on a buffet. So lunch hours are between 11 00 a.m. and 345 p.m. If you don't like mostly chicken dishes don't come here. God...
Read moreThe food was cold and unappetizing. I drove approximately 32 minutes from my departing address. I sat to drink my beer and try to consume this discomforting food that was offered at this establishment. The fact that I started to realize while consuming this food that this food was every bit of 2 days old was unbearable. I honestly can say that the everything I tried to eat was cold even the sushi appeared to have been sitting for at least 2 days and reheated. I arrived at this buffet at 12:37 pm and to get food not served hot and fresh is unacceptable. Worst Chinese buffet I have ever visited in my life and the service was not even standard. I confronted the gentleman about the food being terrible and all he could say to me was Huh? Huh? My total was 29.67 for two. He gave me $4.67 off my tab which came out...
Read morepretty standard for a non-mega Asian buffet. Many items were just like other buffets make them. The sushi section is small; and same for the desserts (but did have ice cream cups). Decent selection of hot food though. But as usual with these types of places, any protein item in a batter coating that sits in sauce for very long will turn mushy. The crab rangoons though, were tough. Good amount of filling though, which was nice. But the corners were almost inedible. I should have paired the center part with some of the friend wonton strips near the soup section. I travel this highway every couple of months. I think I'll put this location near the bottom of the list, since there are others in Statesville and Conover, etc. But honestly, some of them are pretty mediocre too. I just need to...
