Del Taco — Restaurant in Modesto

I normally like this restaurant and the food and usually get good service but the other night I went through the drive thru and thought I was being overpriced....so had "Amanda" remove an item to which she gave me sass over then when I politely asked for my receipt, to make sure I wasn't being overcharged, she refused to give me it! I asked her to get the manager to help her and with an attitude she said he wasn't there but that she could write down what I ordered.......which does me no good since I don't know what I was charged on my card. I asked her name and said I'd be contacting her manager and she goes "OK OK I'll get your receipt...." and grumbled and gave an insincere apology or two.....The food wasn't that great either, I think the macho nacho had been sitting around awhile...the chips were mushy and the toppings were dried out. On Feb 17th I was in the drive thru at 11:45 and was told by Lisa that they are closed and always close 10 minutes early. I told her I drove there and gas is expensive and I am there BEFORE the posted close time. If you close before 12:00, then you need to post the correct closing time. I'm hoping to be compensated somehow for wasting my time and gas. Looking forward to talking with the owner and by the way, there was a car behind me as well. If you check the camera, I'll be the black SUV in the driveway thru. I even stopped at the window to be treated horribly. People need to understand, without a customer, you don't get a paycheck and the business doesn't make money. My food order is always correct when I go in person. If you do doordash your delivery person may forget to ask for sauce/napkins.

The times I have been there I only see 2 workers there. 1 is usually prepping food and the other 1 is managing the drive through and taking the orders at the counter.

Dinning area is clean the times I have been there. They have a play structure but always seems hot so dont think they turn AC on in that section. They do have a bathroom but I have not seen how clean it is. Plenty of parking since most people go through the drive thru.

Sometimes the soda machine is not working for some of the flavors. They also run out of the strawberry lemonade on some days.
