Lucille — Restaurant in Modesto

I had been bugging my husband to go here for practically all of 2024. We went in once but it was really busy and he was extra hungry so we didn't stay. Insert Sad Face Fast forward a couple months, we finally went in today. I was actually nervous because I had hyped it up in my mind for a whole year and didn't want to be disappointed. Well let me tell you... I am a Lucille patron for life! I had the OMG BEC sandwich and a large mocha sitting at the bar. The sandwich and mocha were next level good, like next level! Who knew mayo and mustard would be bomb.com on a breakfast sandwich? Lucille did... Then, it has such a bright and cheerful yet cozy cafe vibe, with the expresso machine and the jazzy lofi going. The staff were super chill and attentive, you can tell that they take pride in their establishment. 5 stars all around and I can't wait to go back to try...

This place is an absolute gem! Such a cute, quaint little spot.

The food is wonderful on so many levels. The menu is on the smaller side which means they are committed to doing these options well! Every dish that came to the table looked clean and fresh, and tasted wonderful. I highly suggest the H Street Block, which is a blueberry French toast casserole, sooooo good!!!

Parking is easily accessible with spots on the street and a parking garage right across the street.

Seating is cute and cozy, but fills up fast! We came on a Tuesday morning at 10am and they were still quite busy!

The staff are all so sweet and the service was great!

Oh it was awesome! I ordered the South x Southwest and it was very filling and delicious! I also ordered the Buttermilk house biscuit with butter and I added the house jam. For my beverage, I had a mimosa and black drip coffee. The service here was very friendly. I’ll admit I was skeptical about what I ordered by looking at the menu thinking that there is no way I will leave full. Wrong was I!! Not only did I leave full, I left happy. I will return again.
