I wish I could rate the food, service and atmosphere separately. Here is what that would look like.

Food Taste - 5-1=4 Stars I ordered the grilled cheese which can be challenging to get right with vegan cheese. But this one was perfect. They used Follow My Heart cheese which melts beautifully and it was grilled to perfection. It was the best vegan grilled cheese I have ever had... even better than mine and I make some good ones.

The fries were delicious and could not have been cooked better. They were unsalted but that's great because you can always add salt... if it's on the table.

Unfortunately the otherwise 5 star food lost a point when I noticed what looked like an eye brow or possibly a nose hair on my plate. You can see whatever it was in the pictures I posted.

Service - 3 Stars You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. I sat outside where none of the tables have salt, pepper or condiments. When they served my sandwich they did not offer salt or ketchup for the fries. I had to go inside and get some.

Atmosphere - 2 Stars There were flies buzzing around me outside. And there was a guy talking on his cell phone right behind me the entire time. I think he was the owner or an employee but I could be wrong about that. Either way he was really annoying me.

I thought about going inside to escape the flies and the cell phone guy from both buzzing in my ear but when I looked inside I saw an employee using a towel to swat flies. Then she cleaned her kill off the table with...

This place is a great vegan option. I'm a long time vegan but I've let others in my family try it and they've loved it as well. Even my grandpa who is a bit picky about vegan stuff. Their fake ham and chicken is great. As well as the TNK sauce they have. I have had a lot on their menu with my favorite being their ham spring rolls and the lemon grass tofu dish. The serving sizes are on the larger end, although they have become a little smaller and more expensive unfortunately. The only things I would avoid is their tofu spring rolls (bland) and chicken tenders (they're nothing special and similar to trader Joe's or Gardein boxed vegan tenders, just more expensive). Over the last two years prices have went up a few dollars, which is a little harder to swallow and they also put a lot of ice in drinks and charge a dollar to use your card to pay. I understand with inflation being so high, it just means I will have to come less often. It's still the best vegan place in the area and great to support...

This is Modesto's only full vegan restaurant. I have been going to this place since they opened. Their foods are flavorful and delicious. The owners are vegan themselves for years which is a plus because the food is flavored well. I enjoy going here for the Fresh Spring Rolls with the faux shrimp and meat slice. Their menu is great, many options to choose from. There are sandwiches, burgers, Asian rice entrees, desserts, cold drinks, appetizers. The Lemon Grass Chicken is my favorite rice entree. The Paratha Roll Chicken is my go to for a sandwich option. The prices are great here compared to other restaurants that aren't fully vegan but offer some vegan options are priced much higher than Tnk Vegan Cafe. It's a luxury to enjoy vegan food here in the valley without compensating for the taste and additional charges when ordering a vegan option at other restaurants.

I would love for vegan sushi options added...
