Long John Silver's | A&W — Restaurant in Moline

Long John Silvers is a casual place to grab lunch or dinner. With many options of fish, chicken, shrimp, and the A&W menu of burgers, chicken tenders, chilli dogs, and corn dog nuggets it has something for everyone. The food is cooked to order, so depending on what you order it can take a few minutes, especially later in the evening as the day dies down. Long John Silvers also has many dipping sauces, and while tartar, cocktail, malt vinegar, and ketchup are the only sauces in the dining room they also have lemon, hot sauce, sweat and sour, honey mustard, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, relish, barbecue, marinara, ranch, spice papa sauce, as well salt and pepper all you have to do is ask for them as they keep those sauces behind the counter. If you are eating in, be sure to ask for a frosted mug for root beer! And if you eat in, be sure to take the number the employees give you so they can find your table and bring your food. Forks and knives are by the sauces and the soda machine. They have tea and coffee and you get your cups for beverage at the counter after you order. It was remodeled in 2020 but then went drive through only due to COVID. Now they are open inside 11-7 every day except Monday, they are closed all day Monday. For those who remember, the jukebox is gone!! It broke beyond repair, sad to see it go. Has been one of my favorite fast foods since childhood. But if this is they way thing are going to continue to trend, stop waisting time and close your doors. Food is not only significantly more expensive, $33 for two simple meals, but it was almost comicly reduced in portion size as well. The chicken was so thin it had one side, the golf ball sized hush puppies are now marble sized hush puppies, and I'm pretty sure if McDonald's sees those thin fries they will be sueing them. Then on top of all the frustrating waist of money on $3 in crease on each menu meal to get half the food, they left out my coleslaw all together I did however get utensils to eat said coleslaw. Very disappointed. Just left the moline location. Was sitting in drive thru for little more than 5 minutes waiting for the vehicle in front of us to order. Upon completing their order and pulling forward restaurant shut off the lights, building, ordering sign. When pulling forward they said I'm sorry were closed at 8. It was 8:03. And had been in line prior to restaurant closing. Sign on drive thru said starting 9-5-22 restaurant will be closing Mondays due to be short staffed until further notice. Understanding of that. But nothing about closing early as the door reads 10pm. Not normally one to be upset as EVERYONE is short staffed. But 2 employees saw my vehicle in the drive thru prior to 8 pm.
