I called 3+ times. When they answered and said, "we'll be right with you". I waited 25+ mins on the phone, I can here orders being taken, but there were times where I can hear them just chatting. I hung up and called and I couldn't go through. I went there, and asking if my order could be taken. I told them when had just happened, and both of the register girls looked at me in shock. One of them said, "I wish my manager was here so I can discount something for you." .... I wish that too. I appreciate the two register girls for helping me. Then after my order was placed, I heard one of the cooks say, "I kept hearing the phone go off, I got tired of hearing it go off so I answered it and set it down."
HOWEVER -- I got in touch with the owner. He was deeply sorry. Took care of the situation right away, and was able to help out with what had happened. He really cares about all customers who come in and was really sweet. The food was really good, and honestly can't wait to go again. Since, this happened he's been more on top of the store, and really does look through all the comments and reviews and takes what everyone has said personally and does everything he can to keep the restaurant in tip top shape. My coworkers and I definitely plan on coming back. One bad trip won't just stop us from coming back. Thank...
Read moreIt was ok ,im kinda surprised by how busy it is ,i got a gyro an to go ,i was a bit disappointed that the taziki sauce wasnt on it but was on the side , the deep fried mushrooms were realy good , i was a little surprised that when i wanted mushrooms inplace of the fries i was charged a full price for the mushrooms in that case they should of included the fries also. Well now that commented back on my first comments an made it sound like i dont know what i ordered im really disappointed in there service ,i know what i ordered ,it was the meal/basket i did ask for the mushrooms instead of fries an i wasnt told it dose not come that way ,i did not order sauce on the side i never order it on the side i expected it on the gyro an i aslo ordered to go in which it was made to eat there an you had to fix that , so i usually give a place 3 chances for just incase they were having a bad day or whatever,an i would normally tyr it again, but ya you made a so-so review a lot worse by trying to say i didn't know what i ordered an your staff not telling me that i was being charge for the mushrooms in the meal an then not putting the fries on it ,well that was strike 3 your out i won't be back an i will let people know what i think about your attitude to customers, hope all goes good for you as you insulted a...
Read more20 years ago, we lived in the quad cities while I was attending college and we discovered Uncle Pete's gyros. We came from the Detroit area and we were used to eating Greek food very regularly, but when we arrived in the quad cities we found that Greek food was hard to come by. Thank God we discovered Uncle Pete's wayback then and this great place turned into a regular place for us. I remember Pete sitting in one of the booths and the restaurant always greetings you when you walked in the door and watching to make sure that you were enjoying the food. He was a very, very nice man. Well, today we found ourselves in the quad cities while traveling Westward and we got the idea to see if Uncle Pete's was still around. I was so happy to not only see that it was still around, but that they had built a new location since the last time we ate there back in 2003 and that it was rocking out the same great food. We actually met Pete's son, who runs this great place and had a great conversation with this very nice man. The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree! The gyros where big, moist, and delicious and they still have those beautiful, great big french fries that they had years ago. We also ordered a Greek salad that was just equally delicious and freshly made. Thank you for the great...
