TL;DR The quality of their food and how it is prepared is wildly inconsistent. Never know if it’ll be good or bad. When it’s good it’s good, when it’s bad it’s really bad. Usually mid.
I’ve been eating Yolanda’s food for like 10 years now on the weekend. Grilled chicken salad. What bothers me the most is the wild inconsistency of their food. I’ve gotten that salad way more than enough times to notice it. The days it’s cooked(chicken and fries) good and put together good with plenty of lettuce, it’s excellent. A nice full salad with cold lettuce, cucumbers, olives, and hot fries and chicken with melted cheese on top is super good. Most times it is lacking, chicken is cold, cut poorly, very little lettuce etc. today it was extremely full, buuuut all the lettuce was pretty brown and tasted awful. Very little cheese, smushed olives. It’s not just the salad either. The pizza has insane inconsistency too. When ordering yolondas, in my head it’s, will it be good today, bad today, or acceptable. That’s not good. I get grilled chicken salads at Mary janes and their quality and consistency far exceeds yolondas. It’s also always a very full salad. I could go on and on. I’ll get pictures next time as my brown lettuce finally led me to write a review, after I had already...
Read moreHaven't been here in ten years and was in area so talked it up to my son who loves Italian food. It smelled wonderful but was just the worst dining experience ever! The braschetta was tasting like vinegar and canned tomatoes. The salad was old and sad. They charge for homemade pasta and even mark up for gnocchi and when it came I asked if it was made fresh only to learn it was ordered in. The meatballs were watery and the pasta was in a bowl with water at the bottom. My son got chicken parmesan and it was thin dry meat but greasy breading and his side of pasta was again in water. The garlic bread was just dry toast no flavor. The cost was $44.52 for the saddest excuse of Italian food we have ever had. They use to be awesome but the passion just isn't there and it shows. The sause that use to be the best now was so acidic and tastes like canned sauce. If I could give half a star I would. Even the meatballs taste old and frozen. How can Italian food go so wrong? Call Gordon Ramsey but he would say fresh only fresh ingredients can make this place like...
Read moreWe visited here with a decent sized party, a 12 top, and I understand it was a rather large party, for a smaller joint, but the service was not great. After spending 7 years in restaurant management at various levels, and managing a restaurant with a banquet room that sat 60+, I feel its in the best interest for everyone if the person running the floor knows who their strong servers are. Even if we weren't seated in a strong servers section, our party should have been given to a stronger server, even if it needed to be seated out of section. That's my first issue.
I've had their pizza as take out with other before, and I thought it was pretty good, so I decided to give it a second try tonight, with take out. I ordered two pizzas tonight, and it was not what I remember it being, they were good pizzas, I just can't justify the price for the taste. I understand I had a bit of toppings too, pretty much a meatlovers, but $70 for...
