This is a newer restaurant, and a hidden gem.
There isn't a sign out front (yet, anyway) and the decorations are pretty plain. No loud music, no TV's to interrupt your conversations... The family that runs Taste of Africa is friendly, and happy to answer questions.
I had Samosa to start, and they were fantastic! Crispy, tasty, well seasoned.. and served with a sauce that was slow-burn spicy.
Next I had Egusi - a stew with chicken, goat and smoked fish - which sounds like a lot, but we're actually very well balanced and worked well together. Very flavorful, and very filling.
There's a good chance that almost everything on the menu here will be new to you, but don't let that stop you - be curious!

We ordered samosas and very moist puff puff. Definitely one of the best puff puff I’ve ever had. From the entrees we ordered, the grilled pork and grilled fish were my favorite. Very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The jollof rice was also really good. It’s savory. A lot of people don’t like spicy food in the area. Just ask about each dish!
Growing up, we never had international restaurants. Now we are lucky to be able to have these wonderful experiences.
