TL;DR:
Sat there for an hour+ just for two small breakfast plates. Food was delicious. Service was absolutely awful. Multiple tables walked out during our hour+ breakfast. They weren’t busy.
Full: We like to try random little places to eat. We saw this place, they usually look decently busy so we figured the foods gotta be good.
As soon as we walk in, we’re told we can seat ourselves. We’re quickly greeted With menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Drinks also brought back quickly.
There were maybe 5-6 other tables in there with people. Most of which had their food already.
Fast forward 20 minutes. It took TWENTY minutes for one of the servers to come take our order, and we had to keep repeating what we wanted as she wrote it down what seemed like word for word. (Omelette w/cheese, and hash browns, and then an order of French Toast and scrambled eggs) She came back to the table two times to confirm parts of what we ordered.
Now we wait another almost half hour for the food. Most of the other people had left by now and others came in. 2 tables had already promptly got up and walked out after not being served. People trying to pay were standing at the register for average of about 7-8 minutes each.
We finally get our food, it was very good. Very very good food. The problem was the service. Friendly people but inexcusably slow.
Our bill was over $20 for two small breakfast plates. No discounts or anything for the extremely slow service that they even had mentioned. Usually we get similar orders and this runs us about $11-$14 everywhere else and we’re in and out quicker than just ordering here. Oh, and never got refills on our drinks either.
Food was great but unfortunately can’t...
Read moreOnce a week my husband, mother and myself pick a restaurant we've never been to, to try. Monday on Veteran's Day we chose here. After sitting for 53 minutes and only being served water, we were asked to leave! Walked in to a Twilight Zone feel. Waitress told us to sit anywhere, EXCEPT the table we sat at. Brought us water, didn't order it, took our food order and still didn't get any drinks. Came over and sat next to us, started to tell us something, then got up and walked away.? The 3 of us were there about 40 minutes at this point, and started feeling uneasy and unwelcome. It wasn't just the waitress, the whole restaurant has bad vibes. We wanted to leave and escape this Twilight Zone, but didn't know how. Again we only had water, so nothing to charge, just never walked out of a restaurant before, but the uneasy feeling had us watching everyone! 10 minutes later she came and sat next to us again and said "I'm not sure why, I'm just trying to pay my bills, but they don't want to cook your food!" Again never been there before, live an hour and 15 minutes away from there, but seen our exit! We were embarrassed, confused, and there was ZERO confrontation between us and anyone else. They didn't give us a reason, and we were reluctant seeing an escape and didn't ask. I suggest if you are an outsider, STAY AWAY! Not sure what is going on here, but I'm thinking we were lucky as hell to get out!!! I will say the only thing said by my husband about 2 minutes before she came back the second time, because it was an extremely strange atmosphere was, " Imagine if this is the diner we are stuck in at the end of the world, and this is...
Read moreWhat a SHAME. Pride is an ugly thing... I've been coming in there since they opened (it was always LAST on my list of places I want to eat because they were never consistent in their quality of food and service was hit or miss.. definitely can't handle a full house). Even tho it was mediocre, the staff was nice and food was 'good enough'. My last dine-in experience with them, we left because our server just never came back because they had her serving a full house And running the counter, while lazy owners/family sat back observing. We left very kindly, not upset, just hungry, and reassured them it was Totally OK, I understood, and will be back, and so I have in fact continued to give them my business, ordered carryout several times from them since then. TODAY is the LAST TIME: Today they replaced a soup that they forgot to give me the last time. They gave me double which is more than I required, but it was nice. I also ordered 1/2 order biscuits&gravy w/scrambled eggs, and a 2 egg breakfast w/ meat, potatoe, toast. I get home, open the bag, there's only the breakfast, NO BUSCUITS AND GRAVY, NO TOAST, and Still I'm not Angry, just disappointed. Mistakes happen, even if it's twice in a row. So I called to let them know, the owner gets on the phone, he gets Loud with me, saying they never get these complaints and he doesn't have time to go back and forth with me.
No Problem, Sir. I will never bother you again. Every restaurant in Monroe is literally better than yours. I only came because I had respect for you, and the drive-thru was...
