Worst night ever at a hotel! No one at the desk when we checked in, another guest told us to grab the envelope on the desk. No room number and no answer when I called the hotel twice. We literally had to go to every single room and try the key, the last room on the 3rd floor it worked! Mind you my fiancee is 7 months pregnant it’s very warm in the hallways on this humid hot day... finally get into the room it’s a queen bed not a king like we were told/expecting. We leave for dinner and come back to our keys not working And then call three times before someone answers and let them know what’s going on and then he told me to go down to the lobby to get new keys, so I went downstairs waited over five minutes and no one showed up so I go back up three flights of stairs get my phone and call them back for him to tell me I was supposed to call him when I get down to the lobby. SMH back down 3 stories of stairs and he then gave me instructions on how to get into a lock box behind the desk to get a key for the room And then go back up three flights of stairs and that key doesn’t work either. Guy on the phone says he will have someone there in a minute, 15 minutes later a nice young lady comes up there with a master key and cannot get in as well. We are in the hallway for another 15 minutes and she tells us that they can’t get in right now that they will give us another room across the hall (the room that we were supposed to have to begin with) until they can solve this problem. 10 minutes later They inform us that they cannot get into the room at all tonight and we have to wait till the morning so now we are in another room with all our possessions in the room we cannot get into it until tomorrow morning when they can get someone here to get the door unlocked. All our clothes, phone chargers, food & drinks are all in there and my fiancé has all work stuff in there for tomorrow morning. Hopefully they get it open so she can be to work on time.. we left and came home. ...
Read moreAmazing place! Having spent many years in Monroe, to find this upscale, contemporary, cosmopolitan slice of the big city here was mind-blowing. We booked a room so that all my siblings could relax and share a rare evening together without distractions in a central, easy-to-reach location. It was like resting in a well appointed apartment with a great feel of home. The amenities, particularly the kitchen with the complimentary refreshments, the microwave and refrigerator made it easy to relax without being rushed to decide where and what to eat. The easy walk to the downtown area shopping, history, riverfront, churches, food and drink makes it very convenient. The staff was friendly, interested and interesting. We even had a chance to tour a couple of the other suites before we left. Each one was unique and just as welcoming as the last.
We plan to come back for a couple of nights to celebrate the holidays together. Now that our old homestead is gone, we consider this our new gathering spot, our home away from home. We were particularly impressed with the convenient parking accommodations as the hotel is located mid-block on a narrow downtown street.
If you're just looking for a place to stay overnight, this isn't it. If you want to have the experience of spending time away from home at a friend's place make a bee-line for the...
Read moreThis place is above and beyond! I stayed here for 15 weeks while working in Monroe. For an unbelievably amazing rate, I had a complete and comfortable home away from home. We're talking modern loft studio apt style with extra comfy bed, two large TVs, pub style table, rain shower, full dresser and wardrobe, a couch, and a kitchen with everything you need, including a full size refrigerator and dishwasher! Plus, there is a free to use washer and dryer downstairs! It's located right downtown with so many restaurants and shopping and hair salons. Some you can walk to, and everything else in town is super short drive (like 3 to 10 mins). I never once felt unsafe at the hotel or outside in the downtown area. My room was 204, and it was minimal stairs. This room was phenomenal for a long time stay, and would definitely be an upgraded stay for a short visit in town. As I'm a night shift worker, I slept here during the day and was never woken up! Super quiet. Also, dark shades kept the room dark. I saw other rooms while here, and they all looked super nice. Mgmt was super responsive with my reservation changes and questions, and I had no issues with charges. Just go ahead and...
