Apero — Restaurant in Monroe

Diana and my experience at dining in at Apero, a new restaurant on Tower drive in Monroe. We dined in at 7:00pm this Saturday night. Emily Ackerman’s and her staff was wonderful. We were seated quickly and the place was full. This was our first experience dining here. We had a really wonderful waitress. Her name was Savanah. She was well versed in everything on the menu and she could tell you how it was prepared and how it tasted. It made Diana and my ordering so much easier. We ordered an appetizer and one entree to start out. It came really quick and before we could eat that we ordered two more entrees and they came before we could finish the first and they were so good. The portions were perfect for two people. We had the Lamb Lollipop’s, Steak and Potatoes, Meatballs and Oysters on the half shell, with Crab dip and small sliced bread. Everything was great. We topped it off with a desert that had a sugar type crust that was full of Strawberries and Raspberries and Whipped Cream and it was delicious. The service is so quick and the atmosphere is great and the place is Beautiful inside. They also have a section for Discount Sales that opens at 10:00 am in the morning. They sale meats, cheese, cooking oils and rice and much more. This is a unique place to dine at here in Monroe and I suggest you go as soon as you can. Apero, Apero,Apero! Magnifique, Magnifique, Magnifique!

Apero is simply the best! We recently had a family gathering of 28 people coming into town, and Apero accommodated us beautifully. We scheduled in advance, and they arrange seating so we could all be together at individual tables, making the experience feel both intimate and seamless. From the moment we arrived, the wait staff was incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs at every turn. The service was impeccable, making our large party feel like a breeze. And the food – oh, the food! Every dish was prepared to perfection. We had a wide variety to choose from, ensuring that everyone in our group found something to love. The appetizers were a hit, offering a delicious range of flavors to start the meal off right. Not to mention, Apero even created a personalized menu just for our party, which was such a thoughtful touch! Hands down the best restaurant in Monroe. The food balances citrus and savory flavors very well. They chef uses a proper grill to cook many of the dishes, and the grill flavor comes off clean and smoky. I highly recommend the olives which have a beautiful citrus flavor and the shishito peppers which have a savory grilled flavor. They balance each other out, and work well as an appetizer with a drink.

There are two drinks I have tried and thoroughly enjoyed. One drink, the Levant, is a passionfruit drink with tamarind in it. It is a citrus flavored drink which gives one a refreshing flavor. Its a great way to start off a meal. The other drink I enjoyed was called 1988 (I believe) and it was a drink which used orange juice, liqueurs, and various other flavors. It was a bolder drink, but worked well with the tapas.
