Firehouse Subs Maison Market — Restaurant in Monroe

This was my first & LAST time at this location. My experience was so bad that I had to leave a review. The customer service was trash. The manager barked at the employees and was very demanding and disrespectful. I feel he was throwing his authority around being that he was the manager. I could see why the employees energy & customer service was poor because I would absolutely hate to work under someone's leadership who acts in that manner. I understand you need order, but there is always a better way to ensure that. He's also very loud, which is disturbing, especially at the latter part of your day. When I walked in, I was barely greeted, which I will say the manager had to constantly tell the employees to do. One of the ladies asked me "what can I get for you" over the counter, so I told her I would like to order because she was no where near the register. This is when I should have left. The manager comes up to the register and begins talking to one of his employees (completely ignoring the fact that I am standing there waiting to order). The lady who asked me what I needed had to tell him twice that I was still trying to order. At this point there are other customers walking in and the manager is greeting them and has yet to ring in my order. When he finally decides to take my order, he asks if I want to make it a meal (which I also shouldn't have done given there was barely anything to choose from.) He "rung up" the order and I guess he called himself being finished without telling me the amount for the order. So I am looking at the card reader to see how much it is. It showed up as 10.26 so I was looking in my purse for the 26 cents. Now he is rushing me to give him my payment. I told him "I'm looking for some change". He proceeds to say "I don't need no change, I need $15." (Another point where I should have just walked out). I'm guessing it took a little more time to load and the amount went up to $14.67. So I handed him $20. Yes, I thought the price was steep but I was too tired after the long day I've had to worry about it. He hands me back $5 without the change and tells me to have a nice day, mind you, I still have to wait for my food which was made very messy. You shouldn't assume it's okay to keep someone's change. I don't care if it is a penny- he added a donation without even asking me). After the experience I had, I didn't even have the energy to try to get a refund. Honestly if I could give this store zero...

I honestly don't know where to start. This was the dirtiest restaurant I've been in in a very long time, especially to be so new...building and all. Placed a to go order over the phone, was told it'd be 30 mins. It was an hour total for 4 subs and 2 salads. The lady at the cashier spot for to go orders was high as a kite, couldn't stand still, jaws steady going and stay licking lips...that's unappealing as can be. Employees walk right by you, throwing trash AT the trash can,never saying excuse me, or caring if the trash actually gets in the can. Behind the counter was beyond disgusting. Very loud environment, very unorganized, extremely dirty, staff needs improving, prices are steep, wait time ridiculous. Only one that was polite was the heavy set brunette behind the register. She was sweet, always keeping a smile on her face. Never will I go back to...

This firehouse is undergoing what I assume is growing pains. I understand this place just opened but I frequent firehouse in the little rock area. This location has a long way to go to get to the caliber of service I'm used to. Resteraunt floor was dirty and table tops needed to be cleaned off. Seemed like there were over 10 employees on shift this day but no one was cleaning the floor. Lots of people just standing around and not doing anything but having inappropriate conversations. I really hope this location gets squared away as I just relocated back to the area and was estatic when I learned we would be getting a firehouse. Unfortunately this one is not up to what are normally very high standards. Please fix this location and don't let this problem...
