So, I have been thinking about writing this for a while, but I've tried letting it go and I can't. There were many days and nights I went home in tears because of this place. Last year from July-October I worked here as in an inmate from OCC work release. I felt like I was in hell every day I worked there because of the general manager, Rick Molina. Within the first month of being there four people quit because of him. I should have taken that as a warning. He told me he didn't have the staff or time to train me, and I would either sink or swim, then handed me a stack of employee handbooks to read and go over myself. This man accused not only me, but multiple employees of stealing money. Any time a new employee started, money all of the sudden would start to go missing. Let it be known Rick was fired from the CC's coffee house in Ruston for stealing thousands of dollars and was still paying restitution and court costs while I was employed here. I honestly believe it was him stealing the money, and he was putting it off on new people since he was always complaining of not making enough money. I worked my tail off at this establishment, and worked a lot of over time, but when asked if I could come back after I was out of jail, he told me " I don't think we ended on a good note." Yet, I don't recall us having many problems towards the end of my jail sentence. He wouldn't even get in contact with me when I asked him to send me my termination papers so I could receive GA while waiting for a job to come through. I never really had an off day there because I was ALWAYS called in on my off days, yet I put a smile on and did my job. He would purposely make employees especially the new hire inmates, feel dumb and inadequate in the work environment. No one could do anything fast enough or up to his expectations EXCEPT his two favorite, inmates, Lainey and Raychel. Those two wouldn't do anything, especially when he wasn't there (they'd always ask me to do it for them, even if I was off), and were treated like queens up there while everyone else worked extremely hard. He would purposely schedule me twice in one day, a morning and closing shift, knowing I'd be stuck there waiting to clock in in-between shifts because I was in jail and would not be picked up while I was off, waiting to clock back in. He and one of the inmates, Lainey, had something romantic going on, not only did I overhear somethings, but it also came out of her own mouth. Rick might be fake and professional while assisting customers, but his managerial skills are garbage. While there I've even had customers complain to me about him or apologize to me because they've picked up on how rude he can be to the employees. He held a lot over my head because I was in jail, but I honestly did NOT care. He comes off as the "cool GM," but is really a POS, and it doesn't take long for it to start showing. Tim and Joe are fooled and need to get rid of him.
The quality of their food is terrible. When I first started working there, I immediately noticed none of containers that held the food in the mini fridge up front or in the larger fridge/freezer in the back had been cleaned out in quite a while, including the fridges, and freezers themselves. No telling what kind of salmonella or other bacterial growths were breeding in there. I'm sure it's still like that because I was the only one cleaning them. The espresso shots are bitter, and if he's not there, the employees are pouring "bad shots" in customer's drinks, that includes the managers and shift leads. They also do not put yogurt in the smoothies like they're required to do, they will substitute it for mochissippi mix "because...
Read moreSo my 19year old son & I made our first visit here today. Sub-par service. Wasn't greeted when we came in, went over to the snack display and was never even acknowledged. Apparently unless you stand directly in front of the counter your invisible or something. We ordered a cookie & a roll, which were very good - that's the only reason they did get 3 stars. I ordered a decaf coffee and my son got a mochasippi. They brought the snacks out about 10 minutes before the drinks; no stra forthe Mochasippi. That cookie was was warmed up & would've been great with some coffee. By the time I got my coffee the cookie was consumed. I mean come on, who can stare at a warm cookie for 8 minutes? Apparently not me. When I did get the decaf coffee it was absolutely the worst cup of coffee I could imagine. Hot was the only positive adjective to describe it. I would've expected a coffee shop to do much better on something so basic as decaf coffee....
Read moreGreat coffee and food but the service this morning was awful. My boyfriend and I pulled up and everything was going good until Lainey peeked over and said “Hey insert my boyfriends name you know you have a chicken sandwich in your backseat right” in a snarky tone, which made the rest of the girls laugh. Little did she know we had my bfs little brother with us the moment before and he had totally dumped out the trash we had in a bag in the backseat. We were VERY embarrassed as we usually keep the car clean. We drive a mustang so she had to REALLY peek in. I’m furious with this service and hope to see some change. Rude service when we are customers every single day is NOT going to fly. Train your employees to keep their...
