Awful experience. Everytime I go here, it gets worse. Unfortunately in Monroe there's very few options for food after midnight. Placed a mobile order, picked drive thru. I drove in house pants and slippers because I just wanted to grab the food and come home again. I know their drive thru gets busy, but again, few options. Got there and there was one car at the speaker in front of me. Awesome. However, when I get to the window, the guy on the speaker tells me I have to come in and pick it up because the drive through is "hectic" right now. I tell him I don't wanna do that, and he repeats two or three times that I have to come in. I relent because I've already paid for this food, and park up, and come inside, not happy. By the way there was about 5 cars waiting when I rounded the corner - which is not that hectic for this location. There's several people waiting in there. The staff seemed less than motivated - very slow moving, barely marking eye contact with the customers - asking their names and then disappearing again without a word. To tell you everything bad that I witnessed would take an essay - but here's some highlights: One dude had been waiting for 45 minutes for a doordash order- tells multiple people about it. 15 minutes and the third person he asks they tell him it went ages ago. Another guy gets his food after 10 minutes, but it takes another 10 minutes and him asking multiple times to get the 2 drinks with it. One girl asks for her order by name - several minutes later the guy comes back and hands it to a different customer. Luckily that customer gives it to the right person. It takes one guy several minutes to get a lemonade and then he's told the ice machine isn't working. One colleague of theirs calls for a cinnamon roll for an order. 10 minutes later she leans through the drive thru window from the outside and hollas for the cinnamon roll, and calls them all "horrible co-workers". After about 20 minutes, I get my order handed to me without a word.
I will do everything I can to avoid ordering...

UPDATE 4/2/21: The curbside service was much better today!
We ordered curbside in the app before arriving. The line was to the road, but we checked in as we neared the parking spot. We waited alongside another vehicle that had been there when we arrived. After we had been there 45 minutes, the girl next to us got out and went inside. An elderly couple had entered well before she did, got waited on for dine-in, and took a seat. She stood in line for about 10 minutes before anyone came to the front to wait on her. During that time two more customers entered, and one got tired of waiting, so he left. Another curbside customer who arrived after us went in before the first came out. When the first girl came out with her food, we asked what the deal was, and she stated they were getting orders all mixed up and to make sure we got our correct order. We decided to go in as well. By this time there were two people ahead of us. They got to us, and the girl up front told another girl our name. The other girl said to the girl up front, "That's the order you made twice." Well if you had it made twice, why was at least one never brought out to us? The lack of concern for customer care was unacceptable. We usually love Whataburger, but this experience leaves a bad taste...even though the food was good!!
Updated: 3/26/24 Things were good today. It took a while, but the employee was...
Read moreWeirdest drive through ever seen when you make your order they divide you by two lines. Line one of cars is lined up by the pay drive through windows and line number two is by line one. I felt bad for line two cause they had to wait longer to get their food and pay cause the worker had to walk outside and had to walk up to line two to get their payment, go back in and the cars had to wait again to get their food. We were in line one so it was quicker. When we got our food burgers were dry and fries were a almost medium brown color kind of soft but you could tell they were over cooked. Other than that the workers were very nice seems to me like they need a better paycheck and raise especially for that ONE worker/lady having to walk out in the scolding heat going IN and OUT the building for line two to get the customers payments and get all their food together all at once. Chick-fil-A does something like this but they are standing with a tablet giving orders to drive through pay window. NOT going in and out getting the money/card payments then going back in and out to get food. If this is how Whataburger treats their workers then they have no care in the world about human beings. Please treat your workers better it's over 90 degrees out...
