Stopped by in on Wednesday to buy two drinks. One of the blonde girls made a distasteful and inappropriate comment regarding pronouns to another fellow blonde coworker. Not only is this inappropriate to be talking about in front of a customer, she made eye contact with me while doing so and continued to cackle. Hearing employees publicly mock people simply reflects poorly on the business. They chose to talk about this in front of me, instead of waiting five minutes for me to leave. Had they had waited, I would have not had to write this review. On top of the terrible customer service, the drink itself was poorly made. It was milky and bitter. They should be focusing on properly curating drinks instead of gossiping with their coworkers. You won’t get quality coffee coming to this location. When discussing this with a friend, she mentioned that she knew someone who had previously worked here and how the white employees felt uncomfortable by her speaking Spanish. As a minority myself, this further validates my concerns about this location and their quality of service to customers. Considering Monroe has a large Hispanic population, Clutch should be mindful about who they hire and the community they work for. I do appreciate Kate for responding promptly to my formal complaint, she was very kind. Although this still does not excuse my experience. Be mindful of this before you choose coming to this location. The Indian Trail location is amazing in comparison. Hopefully management will be more considerate when hiring people...

Today was my very first visit to Clutch Coffee on Roosevelt, and wow — what a joyful experience at just the right time.
I ordered a large iced caramel latte (and yes, it's truly large — 32oz!) and it was delicious, but the real treat was the interaction with the two young men at the drive-thru window. Since I was the last customer in line, they said they wanted to give me something special: “5 Big Booms.”
Well… I misheard them at first (🤣), and let’s just say we all had a very good laugh when I said, “Five big WHAT??” We cracked up, and then they hit me with the full “BOOM, boom, boom, boom, boom!” — I was hyped! It was lighthearted, hilarious, and genuinely uplifting.
What they didn’t know is that I really needed that moment. I’d been listening to economic news — tech layoffs, rising costs — and feeling anxious and discouraged. But that booming moment of joy completely shifted my mood. Their energy, kindness, and genuine love for their job was contagious.
Thank you to those two awesome young men — you didn’t just serve coffee; you served...
Read moreI would like to take the time to shout out and recognize Jaiden for her amazing service, warming and inviting attitude, and just overall and an amazing unforgettable experience. This was my wife and I very first time at clutch coffee bar and we were blown away, not only did Jaiden take the time to assist us, but she came outside in the drivethru to chat with us! I’ve never had an experience like such, and was so amazed I just had to share my experience. Jaiden went over the menu, explained everything full details and was not pushy or trying to sell me, but more so helping guide us and navigate through the many delicious choices and options that clutch coffee bar has. Jaiden was amazing to our dog Hennessy, and even treated him like family by offering him a puppuccino which he was greatly appreciative and has been wagging his tail every time we ride by Clutch Coffee! 😀 Jaden thank you for making us fans of clutch coffee bar. We hope that clutch coffee bar recognizes you for your amazing service, and we just appreciate all that you do!! Go try out clutch coffee bar in Monroe...
