Daq's Wings & Grill — Restaurant in Monroe

My wife and I got there for lunch at 11:40am. We had a coupon for a free appetizer and were told there were only 3 appetizers to choose from with the coupon because it had to be under a certain amount. Ordered the Pepperjack Mac n Cheese bites which were okay but not be worth $6 to me. The waitress did come back to us once shortly after recieving the menus however my wife didn’t know what she wanted. After that, she walked by several times without checking (the appetizer was delivered after we ordered the sandwiches). In hindsight, I should have stopped her one of those times. We ordered two chicken sandwiches and an order of fries at about 11:50am. The waitress came around a couple of times apologizing it was taking so long. Finally, around 12:20pm, we told her we would need to go boxes when it was ready because we were pushing our time off for lunch. Because my wife has a finite time for lunch she was forced to leave without her lunch at 12:35 because she was already late getting back to work. The waitress came over a few minutes later and apologized again saying it shouldn’t be much longer. I said (in a friendly tone), “It really shouldn’t have taken this long and that the guy at the table right behind her came in after we did and has been eating for 10 minutes”. She responded saying he ordered before we did. I told her (in a slightly less friendly tone this time), “we had been ready to order but was waiting on you to come back” (obviously not realizing it would take this long to get what we ordered). She said, “Well, I can’t help it if we’re busy” and walked away. If I had $6 in my pocket I would have left it on the table for the appetizer and walked out. About 5 minutes later another lady brought both plates and I told her we needed them in to go boxes because my wife had to leave without eating. I also told her I didn’t need attitude from the waitress and told her about our conversation. She apologized and said she would take care of it. I had now been there for a little over an hour. After the meals were brought back, the original waitress dropped off the check and started walking away. She turned back and a little snarkily said, “I hope you have a good day”. I have waited tables and have been in the service industry a long time so I know how tough that job is but you have to swallow your pride sometimes and just smile. Besides honoring the coupon for the free appetizer there was no other discount on the check. The final nail in the Daq’s coffin for me was the chicken on both of the sandwiches was dry. I have eaten at the Daq’s in Bossier several times when i’m over there and never had any problems and always get the same thing. I would be cautious if you go for lunch in Monroe if you only have a certain amount of time off or maybe ask if they are backed up. I really didn’t think to ask as I thought it would be something they would let us know about when...

Used to eat here all the time with my brother years ago when I lived in Monroe and we really enjoyed it every time we went. Haven’t had it in years and we decided to order it through delivery. What happened? First the price was $80 for two meals and one appetizer but thought it’s Daq’s so it will be worth it. The cheese sticks came in the same shape as the hamburger patty and I couldn’t decide which one tasted worst. Literally I couldn’t tell you how many sticks came with the order because it was just one big fried patty of cheese. Wish I had taken a picture honestly to even be able to describe it better. Fries were a grayish dark brown color either old or well over fried. The best part of the burger was the bun. I do not like leaving reviews like this for local business but good grief my personal meal alone for a burger and fries was over $20 can I at least get a fresh order. I hope it gets back to how it used to be....

The food top notch! The Service The BEST AROUND! After placing a door dash order, the door dasher lied stating Daq’s said my order would be 5 more minutes after 45min of waiting, so I called Daq’s, because this is not typical of Daq’s! The dasher showed to be waiting at the store but was actually driving around elsewhere on the map! My food had been sitting there for 10minutes and No dasher! I questioned the dasher and they disappeared off the map! Door dash refunded my money, the dasher finally showed up and basically stole our food!

Kaitlyn was awesome as the other young lady, didn’t get her name, they happily re made our order despite it being late in the evening, and we picked up our fresh hot meal!
