Only minor hiccups: the fries and onion rings could use a little more seasoning to join the flavor party happening on the rest of the plate. And the water? Let’s just say it’s got that ‘earthy’ vibe, like it was bottled straight from a brook. But the chicken tenders—now, those are something else. They’re massive, like I was dining on a baby dinosaur. And that batter? Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, like a crunchy shield protecting all the juicy goodness inside.

But the best part? For just $14, you can get a caricature of yourself mid-bite, capturing you as the burger-loving superhero. Melvyn’s, we might not make it back anytime soon, but you treated us right, and we highly recommend others experience the goodness.

I worked here when I went up to Monroe to sober up and get my life together... The burgers and hamburger steaks are hand-stuffed fresh every morning and seered on a fired up grill until cheese and onions are bursting out of the tops of them.... We serve them sizzling and the fries are just as hot and fresh. They serve buffalo wings, fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, fried chicken tacos, and homemade onion rings...You can sit at the bar and have a beer while watching a your favorite team play on the big screens... Or you can watch them from a table with the wife and kids... Whether there or to go, the experience is awesome... Been in business for over 30 years for a reason, ya know... Couldn't ask for a better boss... Firm believers in Christ and giving second chances to people who need them the most. I miss it out...

I finally tried Melvyn's last night and I was disappointed. While our fries were good, our cheeseburgers were served cold after having to WAIT! The same thing with the cheese sticks. Instead of being hot and gooey on the inside, they were solid in the middle and the outside just flaked off. Since they didn't give us plates for the appetizers, the crusts just fell all over the table. Perhaps there is miscommunication between the wait staff and the kitchen that needs to be resolved.

Update: I called to let a manager know about the situation today. I was told I could not talk to one because "they were in the middle...
