The building itself is historic. I remember being a turner, with Rosie as our gymnastics coach. But this is about the restaurant. Don't be confused by going downstairs to get there. Once you are there, you are transported back in time to a Swiss atmosphere with a lot of history. The food is outstanding! The staff very accommodating. We held a 90th for our dad and it was a very special time. The food spread was very delicious. The pulled pork was super juicy, the drinks great and stiff. We were in Monroe for the baloon rally. We stumbled on the Ratskeller by chance and are incredibly happy we did. The place is incredible! The setting is a perfect traditional beer hall. The food was delicious! I had the fish fry and Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet. My wife had, among other things, the Grasshopper and loved it. To top it off, there was a man playing traditional Swiss music on the accordion. He was incredible and added to the entire experience. I highly recommend it.
